  • Help me fix the 12V stator & Magnet

RX Gurus, need a little help to fit the OE 12V stator into the magneto as I'm unable to fit. I'm requesting this due to the immense help solicited from the so called road side experts.

Here're the pics of stator plate, magnet & the pic as how it cannot be put in. I don't think its normal; pls correct me otherwise & guide me as how this should be fixed. Both stator & magnet are Yamaha OE for RX135.

Also, the last pic of magnet shows 4 grooves & I'm not sure of its significance. Appreciate a help on this one too. Tks.

See how the stator doesn't get inside the magnet. It cannot even be pushed inside with force.

What model is the stator plate from? im guessing you have a 4S stator and a 5S magnet, hence the imcompatibility. Because the 5S magnet is heavier and bigger.

The coil plate is of a 04 model magnet and the magnet seems to be of older models, first the 04 frontend now this coil plate man i say ur stars are not with u ...

Guys, Thank you so much for helping. I'll tell you what has happened.
I was just checking the feasibility of doing the entire wiring out by myself

And then I noticed the socket end from the motorcycle & the new stator plates are the same. Which means, the stator plate is of 6V type!!! Not sure on the magnet.

Anyway, last night I'd spoke to the supplier who gave me this part & he was willing to exchange it for me with 12V one. So should I keep anything specific year & model in mind before buying a new one? Are all the 12V same magnet & stator plates the same? Will the magnet & stator fit into my RX or are there any special year & model that I should be looking at? Thanks.

Well, I see it in this way; instead of the motorcycle getting stranded on some mech's garage its just stranded at my home ; I still consider myself lucky
