  • Modification List and also Queries ( Pulsar Classic 150 )

I kinda inherited a 2002 Pulsar Classic 150. Its only got 23000 kms on it and is in a very good "stock" shape. Not gonna be like that for long.

Initial list of modifications ( i.e. customizations) was shortened to doable ones after going through xbhp forums and local bike shops.

I think I have done my homework, however i would really appreciate inputs if there is gonna be a BIG problem on account of my actions.

The following items I am gonna do for sure as I feel I have got clearance from the biking community :

    1) Bajaj stock 17 inch alloys from an authorized dealer. ( He said that he will order specific 150 cc wheels cause the new pulsar 150 and classic pulsar 150 have the same sprocket) - he is asking 5000 for the pair.

    2) Tyres : front - 90/90 x 17 (mrf or dunlop)
REAR - 120/80 x 17 (mrf or dunlop )--gonna remove the chain cover
*** yes i know mileage will go down, and also acceleration and maybe top speed, but what i really want is stability. and that front90 and rear120 will give me really good stability. correct me if i am wrong

    3) Bajaj Discover half Chain Guard. Somebody in the forum did this. Said that the cover only costs like 50 rs.

    4) Bajaj 150 or 200 clip on handlebars. I found a thread which discusses it.

    5) LED lights. Met a guy at traffic light. He said that meter strip of red LED is Rs 200. and is very easy to install. so gonna do it.

    NOW THE QUERIES!!!!!!

    1) I really really like this underbelly fairing. Whats its name? Where can I get it? Does anyone have more pics?

    2) Digital Instrument Panel. There is a forum topic that discusses this. Its says that the instrument panel plus speed cable from new pulsar works on classic pulsar.

HAS ANYONE DONE IT? WHAT ABOUT FUEL GAUGE??

Thanks in advance for replies. Am really excited to start making these changes. Most probably this weekend!!

The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

bro, keep the round head light and the black rims would go very nicely with the black engine, shocks, etc very well... the grab rails should be split or get a new split rails pair, try a HID kit or high wattage bulbs such as nigh breaker, etc after gettin the coils rewinded.. wat abt the engine ?? try a branded free flow or just contact joel for it,he'll make u one according to ur requirements.. also try changing the speedo backlight to white as it will look very good.. i have tried the round head light mod on a p 150 ug4 and it looks gorgeous.. also get the pointy end with the led stop lights as it will look wicked..
RED BULL did'nt give me WINGS, my BIKE did !!

IMO the 200 handle bar is better than any clipons the pulsars have had. It is a more cost effective yet comfortable mod. Have done it on my 180UG3 and the difference is great.

Hey, have worked on the bike.
I installed aftermarket 18 inch wheels that are exactly like the current bajaj stock ones. did not have to do a single modification. those wheels fit perfectly. cost bout 4000 rs.

have canned the idea for digital spedo.....instead might just brighten current instruments with led's

i wanted the under-engine fairing of the bike pictured. found one similar to the pic. gonna paint/finish it soon

am installing the 200 handlebar instead of clip ons

hey, i have already purchased the 200's handlebar and am gonna do exactly what u have done. the only thing is that since mine is the UG1, the holes of the switch's screw are in a different place. so have to locate a drill and make holes in the proper position. might do it this weekend
