  • Help Needed for Bent Alloy wheel of Kawasaki Ninja 250R

    Hi All,

I recently noticed a slight bend on the rear alloy wheel of my Ninja. I need to know whether it can be fixed. I stay in Navi Mumbai but can travel to Pune anytime as I have stayed there for the last 5 years. If anybody knows some place in Navi Mumbai or Pune where it can be done. It will be very helpful to me. Going for a new alloy is not an option right now as it costs 26k.

    Regards,
    Tarun.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

      hi brother
I am also facing the same problem my rear wheel is little bent. there is no loss of air or any kind of wobbling though.the bent is very smaLL hardely noticable..U r right it costs 26k which is not a feasible option for me as well..
I think probiking will not help in reparing it they will tell to replace it..
Plz keep me posted as i m also a bit worried.
      thanks.

Help Needed for Bent Alloy wheel of Kawasaki Ninja 250R

As far as I know bent alloy can't be fixed. Check if some other company's alloy fits ur vehicle even cbr250 has 17 inch alloys, if u have a friend who owns a Cbr give it a try. Disk plate might have to be fit with some adjustments and may require a new tyre Or claim insurance together with other cracked fiber parts if any

          Hello All,
Mr. Trustvishwas also had the same problem. I PMed him with the query and he told me the place where it can be repaired in pune. The cost involved is around 1000-1500. I will get back to you all as soon as I visit Pune and the place. He had repaired his alloy wheel which had a large bend. But in my case its a small bend. So will keep you posted about the same.

            Alloy fixed

            Hello All,

I went to the PBK at Nerul,Sector-50,Navi Mumbai. The guy there, Tushar, helped me with the bent alloy. He got it fixed for just 1140 bucks and it is as good as it was before. He also assured me that there won't be any kind of hindrance in riding or issues after long term use. I am posting this after riding through some rough patches for 50 Kms and the alloy is still good. He got the whole process done without me having to take the tyre off separately and taking only the alloy. He did it for me and will do it for any other customer who would visit the PBK. They always have a shortage of spare parts but the service offered by them is very satisfactory. I will be happy to answer any further query by you all.

            Regards,
            Tarun.

The process was applying pressure on the alloy rim by inserting it in a dye to remove the deformity. Anybody can approach the PBK and get it done without any hassles. If you need the PBK person Tushar's contact number then just PM me, will send you the number.

oh...so for this process to be done the SVC needs to have the dye specific for the wheel used in your bike right?

or is it some kind of universal dye which repairs all the wheels?

no i do not need the no.
i just wanted to know how does the rim being bent repair get done...
