Tubed tire puncture repairs in long tours
Hello guys, I'm planning a trip to sikkim next month and I currently own the Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise... since the cruise comes with tube type tyres, I would like to know how to fix the punctures without having a mechanic nearby... is there any puncture repairing kit for tube type tyres ?? Please do let me know. Thank youTags: None

God forbids of you pick a nail,, just pluck it out gently but swiftly and spin the tyre the liquid will repair the puncture hole by itself inside a second you will not need to do any repair afterwards,,,,the sealant protection is till the time of tyre's life,,, like when you get the new tyre pour the fresh liquid inside the tube ,,,,,,,

Wow that's superb. I wonder why this product is not so famous. I haven't seen anybody using this - (at least my friends). Is their any side effects?. Or just the Tyre repairing persons are discouraging this only for their benefit as they are discouraging tubeless Tyre also.?
Got the below information from here: http://www.carsdirect.com/car-repair/tire-puncture-sealant-pros--cons
The Disadvantages of Tire Puncture Sealant
These sealants do not permanently repair the tire; the tire must still receive a traditional patch to be suitable for long term use. Many professionals dislike repairing tires that have been treated with a canned sealant for a number of reasons. These sealants may contain hazardous chemicals and removing it from the inside of the tire can be a time consuming process. More and more companies are using water soluble solutions for their sealants to aid in the removal of the product prior to performing a patch, so this is less of an issue than it was in the past.
The use of a canned sealant can create a high pressure environment inside of the tire that can be hazardous for the person repairing the tire. Additionally, using a canned sealant could also invalidate the warranty on your tire; be sure to examine the details of your warranty prior to using one of these products. Another potential disadvantage is that most tire sealants are not designed to be used with high-performance tires, meaning they are not a valid option for some drivers.

Re: Tubed tire puncture repairs in long tours
I have avenger220 and I have tried both puncture liquids, PFZ as well as Slime..
I had ordered pfz initially and tried to install it with help of local puncture guy.. This was bad experience as pfz contains semi solid type liquid that does not go inside tubes as smoothly as shown in their advertise.. Also, person installing needs knowledge of this bcoz when you press bottle to put liquid inside tube, only small amout of it goes in and as soon as you release pressure on bottle it sucks liquid back into bottle..if you don't believe me, try doing water movement by such action from one bottle to another..this is bcoz of simple vaccum phenomenon..
Solution to this is to push liquid in facing bottle downwards, keeping bottle pressed change its direction to face upwards such that it comes in parallel with air inlet of tube, now release pressure, again face bottle downwards and try pouring some more liquid...
On another liquid called Slime, this was very smooth experience as this is purely liquid product like jelly and hence easy to put it in tube ( I mean needs lesser expertise than pfz, but the phenomenon still applies)..
In summary,I would recommend going for Slime which is used in various countries across globe and its more proven and I felt easy to install too..
Just for information,Slime is little costlier than PFZ and also I did not mean pfz is not good product.. Just shared my experience and recommendation..
