Re: Honda CB Trigger sound issue
Hi i too faced the exact same issue, than i let my mechanic open the engine, it was because of the shaft bearing. That torn out, wobbling a little, and its combined effect with all the gears making sound when you tried to pull throttle holding the clutch at lower speeds.Originally posted by vivek33 View Post

Is there any way of diagnosing it correctly without replacing any non-essential part which is not at all worn out. Because many of the machanic guys here in my area diagnosed it wrongly. They have been doing it like trial & error and made me to replace non-essential parts like chain sprocket, clutch plates, piston, removing the play in clutch housing, etc which were not at all required to be replaced. It almost costed of around Rs. 10000 and now I am afraid of giving it a try again

Please suggest!!
Thanks.

Hi psr sir,Originally posted by psr View PostThen you have to open the engine and check..it can be a simple or complicated problem which will be known only on opening the engine....
Have you checked if the (GB) small sprocket is bolted on to the drive shaft TIGHTLY, and has NO PLAY ? this can also give same symptom and noise...so check the easy ones first before going for engine diagnosis..
Good Luck

Hi @psr sir,Originally posted by psr View PostAlways do RPM matched shifting into appropriate gearing for best FE and performance..Since You have the bike for more than 4 years and only now had faced this particular problem, it is possible that some parts have been worn out..
If as you say the sound is from the clutch side, then check for clutch bell to clutch plates play..The clutch bell has notches in which the stationery plates stay..if these notches have become worn and allows plate lips to move by more than 2mm then clutch bell needs replacement.
2. Check for clutch bell bearing wear..
Good luck.
Thanks for your reply.
The sound seems to be coming from gearbox side, because when the "khad khad khad" sound comes I can feel some little bit of vibration at gear shifting lever.
So still can it be a problem at clutch plate side?

Thanks for taking time and replying my thread.
I am also aware of the fact that riding the bike with half clutch pressed in bad. But in the heavy traffic we have to ride our bike like this, no option for that.

Hi Samarth,Originally posted by Samarth 619 View PostTopic Approved.
Please note that riding the bike with clutch half pressed, is called "riding the clutch" and its a very bad habit. It causes only damage and no good, even if performance seems increased for a while..
If you can't maintain a particular speed, lower a gear and ride without disengaging clutch as far as possible.
@psr Dear sir, could you please help the member? The problem seems to be a common one.

Honda CB Trigger sound issue
Hi,
I have a Honda CB Trigger (150 CC) bike. I have bought it 4.5 years ago and its total running is 32000 km as of now.
In October 2017 while doing its servicing I had replaced its clutch plates because bike's pickup wasn't good and mechanic told me to change it.
Then after 2 months some strange noise has started coming from the engine or gearbox side. The noise comes when in the heavy traffic the bike is in slow speed (15-20 km/hr) and half clutch lever is pressed and little bit accelerating of throttle. The noise is like "khad khad khad khad".
To resolve this issue I have visited many mechanics and as of now I have replaced my chain sprocket, clutch plates (again), piston. I have spent almost Rs. 10000
for this issue but this issue is still there.
Some please help me to find out the exact cause and the solution.
Thanks.
