  • Hero Honda Glamour Fi price reduced ?

Looking to accelerate drivability, better fuel efficiency and enhanced emission in your bike. Hero Honda, the World's No 1 two wheeler company, has all the answers. The company launched India's first fuel injection technology for two wheelers with the 125 cc Glamour FI.

The new technology eliminates the need for a carburetor offers the most comfortable drive and the lowest emission level. The fuel injection technology is being introduced in two wheelers for the first time in the country with the help of Japan's Honda Company. Apart from FI technology, there would be a digital meter (than the regular needle meter) to keep a tab on the speed. Usually a rider has to pay 400 rupees if his mileage is 62 than 60. This meter would indicate to you when the speed is 59.

The Glamour FI is launched in two variants, Drum kick priced at Rs. 49, 990 and the fully loaded self-disc at Rs. 53,990, and it will be available in 60 towns at over 180 Hero Honda dealerships throughout the country. The company plans to extend this new technology to other models gradually.

The customers have to pay Rs. 5,500 more than the regular Glamour motorcycle. The company proudly states that customers are ready to pay for the technology and the extra comfort. Everyone needs this technology to able to meet the emission norms.

There is a class of consumer which is ready to pay for technology and good features, and which is why Hero Honda has gone ahead and introduced this technology.

        Pretty good move from HH
It seems they are a little bothered (now) about anything above that 97cc engine which has been their bread and butter for years all together now.

At around 60-64k otr prices, Glamor (self) might serve a decently fair option for those looking at "only and only" mileage as their criteria. And at reported city mileages of 70kmpls this bike sure is extremely frugal

        2006 - Eterno (sold)

As the Bharat Stage 4 norms date draws closer all the manufacturers slug it out to give ther engines a fresh lease of life by making them adhere to the stringent pollution norms.

It is more difficult a task for Hondas, as majority of their engines are based from 1990s and they have been doing business by tweaking them for all these years.

For others, it might be a lesser investment

Source or link................What do you doubt.....

BTW, I checked out the official site of Hero Honda Glamour and this is what is listed on it...

                            DELHI: 51450, 55450
                            BANGLAORE: 52450, 55450
                            MUMBAI: 53286, 573271

                            HERO HONDA - GLAMOUR PGM-FI

But you really cant be sure about this. It takes ages for Honda to upgrade ther site. Ironically, they have data for 2005 and 2006 and 2007...but no data for 2009.....
