Ok this is old news now, sorry if it's already been covered, but it's still a good reminder of what speed can do..

According to Swedish newspapers this accident took place in July 2003, when a passenger car made a left turn in front of a motorcycle travelling in the opposite direction. The bike drove straight into the side of the car causing the vehicle to flip over from the force of impact and land 6 metres from where the collision took place. The car's driver and passenger, as well as the motorcyclist were all killed instantly; the occupants of another car which was hit by the overturned vehicle escaped serious injury.

These pictures were taken at the Stockholm Motorcycle Fair where the car was placed by the Stockholm Police and Road Safety Department. The sign above the display also noted that the rider had only recently obtained his licence.

Swedish Police estimate that the bike was travelling at 250 km/h (155 mph) before it hit the slow moving car side-on at an intersection.

    Ride safe!

Learn from the mistakes of others. You won't live long enough to make all of them yourself.
