It was not revealed which models are being launched in the Indian market or even at what price points. Polaris has seen the strong sales of Harley Davidson in India and would like a piece of the pie as well.

Pankaj Dubey, Managing Director and Country Head, Polaris India -

"Yes we have decided to launch in the market by the end of 2013,"

Victory Motorcycles has an impressive lineup of 15 motorcycles in the 2013 range. Their motorcycles are segregated on the basis of Baggers, Cruisers and Tourers. The cheapest bike in their lineup is the Cruiser - Victory Vegas 8 Ball at 12500$ (7 lakhs approx), while the most expensive of their motorcycles is the Limited Edition Cross Country Tour at 30000$ (16.5 laksh approx). These are the prices in USA. Adding to it the extremely high Customs Duty charged in India and these prices go premium!

The cruiser line-up of these motorcycles seem the best bet for a country like India. As their are the lowest priced and at the same time not bulky like the touring Victorys.

Victory makes some very nice bikes, with fit, finish & technology better than Harleys. Nevertheless, Harley in India is doing very well and is already in overdrive mode....true to the slogan HARLEY RULES!

So probably in India, Victory will remain in the 'also ran category' of Aprillia, Ducati, BMW etc.
Anyways, if they have a dealer set-up, its still good news for those Indians with the required spare change. Victorys wouldn't disappoint for sure.

I guess it must be sold in just Black, and the 8 Ball on the pool table represents Black, if you can see a connection there

Indian Chief is just about being revived in the US by Polaris. It was a dying brand. Only once it is resurrected in the US, will it look for foreign markets.
