The Varese based company has given a fresh look to the Brutale 1090. The Brutale Corsa will cost 20990 Euros. The bike will sport forged aluminium wheels and Ohlins forks. A new billet steering head will also be seen on this version of the motorcycle.

On the visual front, the bike will feature hand stitched seats, glossy black paint on the trellis frame. The footpegs, levers, and fluid cap are all made with billet. Carbon fibre has been used to make both the fenders.

BRUTALE was my favorite, until DUCATI STREETFIGHTER arrived...

And i also agree this BRUTALE is a bit over design than earlier models...

the engine + chassis appears to be a work of art...
riding stance seems too sporty [notice the height difference between the footrest & the lever position]
liked the front inv-forks too & those massive vented discs + brembo's.
all in all a very aggressive & a sharp looking machine!

I find it okay by MV Augusta standards. My perception is that the side view does remind me of a very large pulsar

One more from MVA. Please don't take this as a rant, but genuinely, whenever I see such bikes, whether in pics or in the flesh, I have always been struck by a thought, namely, what kind of people would be riding a bike like this? Are such bikes genuine motorcycles i.e. to be ridden as a matter of course or are they status symbols or sneak peaks at forthcoming MotoGP tech. Or does such a company need to bring out a regular stream of exotic bikes to stay in public memory (read in the black in the books)

The person who can lay down Euro 21000 for a bike like this. What kind of a person is he likely to be...

The answer to the question of it being over-designed, over-priced. Yes, that is what Italians are famous for. They have an eye for detail. Be it Ducati, Aprillia, Piaggio, Moto Guzzi or MV augusta... Owning this would always be a dream for we bikers.

You have already said the answer yourself. It is everything that you said it to be and beyond.Sneak peaks, status symbols,to stand out from the crowd and yes the company needs newer bikes to stay alive or to show the world that they are alive and kicking.Just like a ferrari or a lamborghini .These exotic bikes do have a place even if it is a niche one.
