The Firm has taken a price increase of Rs1000 on its Pulsar range post the festive season this year, but had left its economy range untouched.
Eric Vaz, president (motorcycle business unit), Bajaj Auto said -
The Company officials have admitted that the sales of Bajaj have slumped down in recent times, the latest figure being a 6 per cent drop in sales in the month of November 2014.
Eric also added -
The company does not expect any significant impact on its sales due to the hike.
Bajaj is not the only manufacturer to take this step, other manufacturers like Hero MotoCorp have already increased their prices and Honda Motorcycles and Scooter (HMSI) increased prices of motorcycles such as Shine, Unicorn, Trigger and the Dream series with effect from September 22.
