Honda motorcycle is developing new affordable motorcycle for India to gain market leadership.
The New low cost motorcycle is expected to hit the market in two to three years and are currently being developed at Manesar based R&D centre. Honda already sells low cost motorcycles in South Africa priced at around $600.

HMSI is also planning to increase its sales network to 3,800 outlets from 3400 at present by the end of this financial year.

Honda executives admitted that they are facing huge capacity constraint that is coming in the way of their aim to grow in market share in the two-wheeler industry.
HMSI also plans to increase its capacity to 5.8 million units after the Gujarat plant4.6 million units and is facing customer booking backlog of around one lakh scooters and bikes and are constantly falling short of capacity to meet this demand.

The company is also planning to launch over 10 new two-wheeler models in India next year. "We plan to launch over 10 new models which will include 7 new products and a few refreshes."
YS Guleria, VP, Sales & Marketing said:
"In the next 3 years, we expect to take this to 6000 outlets."

I have let N300 go, RC390 go only for the sake of this piece. Before Yamaha R3 corrupts my opinion, I would request Honda to gee up.
