Guys, Scott have an Indian website: SCOTT Sports

The specs of this bike are difficult to find on Google, so I'll link them here:- SCOTT Sports - SCOTT Aspect 655i Bike

And they also have a Facebook page:--

SCOTT Sports India. 26,747 पसंद · 58 इस बारे में बात कर रहे हैं. Join SCOTT Sports India as we share our passion for bikes, running, wintersports and motosports with people from all around the country.

As you can see on it, there's a Gadget Show event at MMRDA Grounds, BKC, Mumbai, where you can check their 2016 range, from 29th October to 1st November 2015.
That means, right now its going on. Any of the Mumbai Xbhpians can go and check it out.

that's like saying a Yamaha R15 is not made for India simply because it doesn't have a saree guard.

mudguards on a bicycle are an accessory.

I am not quite sure what is so different about this bike that it is 'made for India'!

But mudguards on a hardtail MTB meant to be ridden on dirt trails!!! Er. Whaat!

I think @hypheni has mentioned the mudguard on a lighter note! Please do not jump on him!
The mtb looks great in green though!

If not a mudguard then how about a side stand? We don't have the cycle parking metal frame thingies commonly available here.

The simplest answers for us would be not to buy this bike or any international bike if you like to use it for daily riding. These bikes (i mean cycles ) are only for passionate cyclist.

I was riding a road bike for past few months in the UK but I will be really scared to own the same after I come back to India. Same story goes for a mountain bike without mudguard.

Rather simple actually. The chain stays where commonly side stands are mounted are extremely light and can break if the sidestand mount is over tightened.
