  • Benelli plans 125 to 750cc bikes for Europe

Benelli is planning to introduce a fleet of motorcycles in European market ranging from 125cc to 750cc. The Chinese Qianjiang group bought the Italian motorcycle brand due to financial issues 11 years ago. Since then the Chinese firm was working on brand building and stabilization by building smaller capacity bikes.

New Benelli 750cc Streetbike on the Cards!

Benelli SpA has been reportedly working a new street-bike codenamed as the "BJ750GS". An image of the motorcycle has surfaced on the internet and gives us a real glimpse into the Italian manufacturer's next offering.

The leaked image reveals a lot about the motorcycle and the first thing that catches your attention is the new platform that it has been built on. The motorcycle has the same engine that is also used in the TNT 899 and the TNT 1130 R. However, on the basis of its codename, the motorcycle is expected to have an engine displacement of around 750cc.
While the current TNT series by Benelli uses Brembo and Marzocchi component, expect the new offering to be equipped with in-house braking and suspension parts. That said we can safely assume that the new 750cc motorcycle from Benelli will be a cost effective proposition.
Other noticeable aspects of the bike include the under-seat exhaust system that has been replaced with a large single canister. Also, the motorcycle now features the conventional centrally mounted radiator instead of the one on each side as the other TNT models. However, considering the new safety regulations, the motorcycle will come with ABS as a standard fitment.
Benelli could possibly introduce this new 750cc motorcycle by the end of this year in the market. When launched in India, the new offering will go up against the likes of the Kawasaki Z800 and the Triumph Street Triple in the mid-weight segment of performance motorcycles.

      News Approved.

Well, seems to me like a mass market 4-5 Lac something priced bike. And the thing is, the lesser it costs, the more it sells, if its good enough.
Duke 390 sold just some 8xx units while Duke 200 sold 24xx units in the same period, for example...

And with cheaper parts, you can ensure that the customers do buy the bigger bikes too.

          That's one ugly exhaust.
