  • Royal Enfield starts Road Side Assistance in India

Royal Enfield will officially be providing Road Side Assistance(RSA) in India. The brand is currently giving RSA packages to owners of all its bikes, provided the bike is not more than five years old.
Every new bike sold from the RE stable will now come with a free one-year road side assistance, which can be continued for subsequent years by paying an extra sum of money. Existing owners can buy the RSA service package for Rs. 800, if their bike is 1 to 3 years old, while for motorcycles in the age group of 3 to 5 years, the RSA package costs Rs. 1000.
In case of an accident where the motorcycle has become immobile, the RSA service will help the rider to tow the bike to the nearest Royal Enfield Service Centre. This towing service will be free of cost, provided the distance between the breakdown spot and the service centre is below 100 kilometres. Similarly, in case of a mechanical or electrical breakdown, a technician will be designated to fix the bike and get the rider going again.
High-probability issues like punctures, battery drainage, and low fuel have also been covered under the RSA service package. The official Royal Enfield RSA contact number is 1800-2100-007.

    News Approved.

Recently, they seem to be working in the direction of listening to the customers and keeping them happy, with all new products (Continental GT, Himalayan), better quality and now this. Cool.

RE is really reinventing itself with such initiatives. However, even if it is a commendable initiative, we have to wait and see how well it is implemented. I hope there will be centralized Customer support system for the RSA package that would coordinate with the local service provider to ensure a smooth and prompt response to any RSA call. Otherwise if the customer is left solely at the mercy of Local service provider, then this system is headed for a disaster!!! The Service experience is the biggest variable in Royal Enfield experience at present and I hope the RSA will be able to improve on this.

I sold the bullet for very own reason of non existence service support team. I remember they charging me INR 300 labor for a clutch cable change citing that I was eight kilometers away from their service center inspite one of friend offered pick and drop of mechanic from workshop.
