  • BMW R nineT Pure & R nineT Racer unveiled at INTERMOT 2016

BMW Motorrad unveils two motorcycles at INTERMOT in Cologne Germany - The R nineT Pure and R nineT Racer priced at EUR 12,300.00 incl. 19% VAT (Recommended retail price) and EUR 12,300.00 incl. 19% VAT (Recommended retail price) respectively in Germany. Both heritage models will be launched in March 2017.

In Lightwhite non-metallic combined with decor that is reminiscent of past BMW Motorsport colours, the R nineT Racer is particularly light and athletic in appearance. The frame finished in Aluminium Silver prominently presents an architectural contrast with the black drivetrain, underscoring the standing of the R nineT Racer as an old-school sports motorcycle designed for dynamic riding fun on winding roads.

Both BMW R nineT Pure and R nineT Racer are powered by a Potent boxer engine with a capacity of 1 170 cc and an output of 81 kW (110 hp) that meets EU4 requirements.

BMW in its two new products offers a Modular frame with scope for customising, allowing individualisation according to personal taste, five-spoke light alloy cast wheels, 3.5 x 17" at front and 5.5 x 17" at rear (optional wire-spoked wheels). The braking is supported by 320-millimetre twin disc brake at the front, ABS comes as standard.

Its the trademark BMW boxer engine which is used on all the GS as well. But on R nine T the engine is very raw without any electronics assist which makes it quite a fun bike. Also the engine doesnt come anywhere close to your heels btw. If you are more interested you can watch my video about the bike
