The Indian Springfield will be available in Thunder Black Colour. The windscreen on the bike is easy to remove with a quick-release and the saddle bags too can me removed to give the Springfield a more classic cruiser look. While touring is also easy, with a variety of accessories available for the same. This gives the Hard Bagger Springfield a multifaceted outlook.
The bike also gets a newly developed chassis for higher load carrying capability, the new trunk-compatible chassis as it is called! Handling is said to be uncompromised with the change in chassis. We remember the Indian range of motorcycles handling surprisingly well for the size and weight it carries.
The Indian Springfield comes equipped with remote locking hard bags, adjustable passenger floorboards, real leather seating, ABS, tyre pressure monitoring, cruise control, and dual driving lights as standard. The Thunder Stroke 111 engine does duty on the Springfield churning out 138.9Nm @ 2600RPM.
Along with the launch of the Indian Springfield, the company also announced that two new motorcycle showrooms will be opening soon in India. One in Cochin and the other in Jaipur. This will be in addition to the 8 showrooms currently operational in the country.
