In the first picture, the clutch cable connecting to the engine part design is completely different if you can compare with the duke390 engine. Even in the 690Enduro engine its different in this part of design. Also the aluminium swing arm in this test bike is way wider/bigger compared to the 690Enduro bike. We wish ourselves that this is the 390enduro, until we get assured news👍Comment

Now the points to be under consideration would be:
1. When is it being launched in India?
2. Pricing?
3. With Versys 300, how comparable will it be?
4. Tank Capacity?

Well that looks good enough for an adventure motorcycle!
But given that KTM has confirmed the launch in 2019 to OverDrive:

..and BMW and Kawasaki is already ready with their contenders, I think KTM could be very late with the launch.
The RE Himalayan has brought a frenzy in the market with almost every manufacturer trying to get their hands on the relatively new, small capacity adventure bike segment. Now it is possible that given BMW's "GS" moniker, and the Kawasaki's twin cylinder engine, both could be priced well above 2.5 Lakhs. (Kawasaki definitely above 3 Lakhs.) In this aspect the adventure 390 could overthrow it's competition. Another worthy competitor which is already going on sell in Thailand very soon is the Honda CRF 250L Rally, but no word from Honda on its India launch till now.
Now with the quality problems on the much celebrated Himalayan, people are searching for a strong alternative right now. I sincerely hope that the need for such bikes does not die by the time these are introduced.Doing whatever it takes.

Well there are different news from different sources. I feel it will take at least a year more. It will be too late if ktm launches it in 2019. It should be fine if they launch it in even 2018 Q1. I don't think versys 250 will be anything below 3.5 lakh. Kawasaki is insane pricing their entry level motorcycles.
How different is BMW 310GS to BMW 310R? Did they work on suspension and seating position as well or its just stock 310R with a fairing?Comment

KTM 390 Scrambler variant spied along with 390 Adventure – To debut at EICMA
Late last year, the first spy shots of the KTM 390 Adventure were spied in Europe. Now, yet another variant of the 390 series has been spied - 390 Scrambler.

Im a sucker for adventure but because of literally no proper adventure bike I got the d390 just three months back and already this news[emoji24][emoji24] thought it won't launch till 2019 end.

The rake angle looks steep in the scrambler variant. The adventure looks odd....maybe the final version will be better.

The footpegs on the adventure is rearset which is a big no and they should at anycost soften the suspension. The current ones on Duke are way too hard for an adventure.
Hope we can fit the bashplate[emoji4] on the Duke
