According to the official statistics by National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB, 2015), “141,526 persons were killed and 477,731 injured in road traffic crashes in India in 2015. However, this is probably an underestimate, as not all injuries are reported to the police. The actual numbers of injuries requiring hospital visits may be 2,000,000-3,000,000 persons.”
In the year 2015 as well, CEAT had run a similar campaign where they took the help of small kids to educate their parents about the importance of driving safe. Here's a video from the 2015 campaign
We have no doubts in accepting that a person is more likely to listen to his daughter/son's request to drive/ride safely than those boring and lifeless road signs asking people to behave on the road. These kinds of initiatives will go a long way in creating road safety awareness.
We congratulate CEAT Tyres for this innovative idea because a lot of people are losing their life on our roads every day and we need to find more such ways to carry the message of being a responsible road user.
