  • JAWA Moto's new 350cc 4-stroke engine with EFI & ABS

JAWA Moto, a Czech Republic motorcycle manufacturing company well known for its 2 stroke engines has launched the new JAWA 350 OHC (4 stroke engine).

Between 6os to 90s, JAWA motorcycle had earned its place in the history of motorcycling in India. Unfortunately, the manufacturing unit of JAWA India (later renamed as Yezdi) stopped its production in 1996 but still, the parent company JAWA Moto operates in the Czech Republic.

Due to the recent changes in the emission norms and safety measures in Europe, JAWA Moto has launched the new JAWA 350 OHC 4 stroke air cooled single cylinder engine which produces 20.4 kW at 6500 rpm and 30.6 Nm of torque at 5000 rpm. The design of the motorcycle resembles its 70s model but it is loaded with the latest technologies. The new 4 stroke engine meets the emission norms, is equipped with EFI and also the first ever JAWA with ABS.

Jawa Moto states that "JAWA 350 OHC design based on the JAWA motorcycle 350, type 634, which were mass produced in the 70s and 80s of the last century, genetic elements such as exhaust shape follows a series of four-stroke motorcycles example. JAWA 500 OHC.

The new motorcycle JAWA 350 OHC meets the applicable standards of the new EURO IV. This standard does not only meet higher demands of emission limits, but also safety. The new model JAWA 350 OHC is therefore equipped with ABS, which for JAWA is the first time in history. Driving pleasure will surely be enhanced. Consumption is slightly over three liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers."

The classic look of the new JAWA tempts to ride it immediately, yet for now, the only way is to travel to Europe to experience the ride of the 4 stroke JAWA. Down the line, we have a chance of riding the JAWA motorcycles on the Indian roads again as the Mahindra acquires band license for JAWA in India and it is expected that Mahindra will launch the JAWA motorcycles later 2018-19. Lets Hope for JAWA to come back soon.
