  • Suzuki India launches new Gixxer SF with ABS at INR 95,499 (Ex-showroom, Delhi)

Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 Japan launch price is Rs 3.29 lakh. Price of made-in-India Gixxer 250 in Japan is Rs 3.06 lakh ex-showroom.

Following launch of the fuel injected and rear disc brake Suzuki Gixxer SF, Suzuki Motorcycle India Limited has launched an ABS version of their flagship ‘made-in-India’ motorcycle. Available in two trims, the Gixxer SF ABS is priced at INR 1.08 lakh on-road Delhi, while the Gixxer SF FI ABS is priced at INR 1.13 lakh, on-road Delhi.

Suzuki Gixxer SF*ABS is seen with sporty new body graphics as well. In addition to this, it will continue to get front and rear disc brakes and a fuel injection system. The ABS on offer is a single channel ABS. This means only the front brakes are ABS, rear disc brake is minus the ABS.

    Re: Gixer 155sf with abs

    News Approved.

This info was leaked in rumors. Glad to see it coming true.
Its a great news for those who wanted premium features while remaining in the 150cc segment for practicality and mileage reasons.

This front-only-ABS means its like a Supermoto mode ABS. It ensures that the braking process during the ride is still involving to an extent... I like it this way.

Re: New variant of Suzuki Gixxer 155 SF with ABS launched, with choice of Fi/ Carb.

So now all the Gixxer variants are:
      Gixxer
      Gixxer (rear disc)
      Gixxer SF
      Gixxer SF fi
      Gixxer SF ABS (carb/Fi)

      ??
That's a lot of variants for a 150cc bike..well done Suzuki! Good strategy

You are correct. I looked at the new brochures for teh ABS variants and it does mention Fi/Carb which is interesting to note because the RM told me last week that only FI would be having the ABS.

But all in all thats a nice thing. Thanks for the correction

Thanks for the correction but they could have also given the same for Naked variant.

Suzuki India launches new Gixxer SF with ABS at INR 95,499 (Ex-showroom, Delhi)

Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) has rolled-out the new Gixxer SF ABS (with Anti-lock Brake System), expanding the popular Gixxer motorcycles portfolio in India.

The newly introduced Gixxer SF ABS comes in two variants – Carbureted (Standard); and Fuel Injected (FI); and will be available across Suzuki dealerships in India.

The ABS is a supplemental system that automatically controls the braking force more efficiently and avoids wheel lock-up in case of slippery road conditions, inconsistent road contours; or sudden braking.

Besides ABS, the Gixxer SF advanced Fuel Injection Technology is equipped with 6 sensors that calculate the optimum amount of fuel to be injected for better combustion efficiency; offering customers better fuel efficiency and a more exciting ride.

Gixxer SF motorcycle comes with two exciting colour options – Metallic Trition Blue (YSF); and Glass Sparkle Black/Metallic Mat Black (KGL).

                      The Carbureted (Standard) variant is priced at INR 95,499 (Ex-showroom, Delhi);
while the Fuel Injected variant is available for INR 99,312 (Ex-showroom, Delhi).

Commenting on the accomplishment, Mr Sajeev Rajasekharan, EVP, Sales and Marketing, SMIPL, said, “We are pleased to announce the ABS fitted variant of Gixxer SF. The safety and well-being of our customers is of paramount importance for us at Suzuki. The new variants not only enhance the rider’s safety, but also make every ride more exciting. We are confident that the new Gixxer SF variant will strengthen our foothold amongst the conscientious young riders who want to make a style statement, but also don’t want to compromise on their safety.”

Nice to know that Suzuki India has launched this variant. Is it a dual channel ABS or single one?

Is there any possibility for the existing owners to get abs set up?
