  • BMW launches the new K 1600 B & R nineT Racer in India

BMW Motorrad has launched the two iconic motorcycles in India – the new BMW K 1600 B and the new BMW R nineT Racer.

BMW Motorrad made a roaring debut at the fifth edition of India Bike Week in Goa. BMW Motorrad also elevated the excitement by launching two iconic motorcycles in India – the new BMW K 1600 B and the new BMW R nineT Racer.

True to its motto - ‘Make Life a Ride’, the pavilion attracted scores of motorcycle enthusiasts and seasoned bikers to the world of BMW Motorrad – people who are looking forward to fulfilling one of their dreams and create unforgettable moments in their life. No matter how different is the experienced world – Sports, Tour, Roadster, Heritage or Adventure, every motorcyclist can find a bike of their personal preference.

Mr Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India, said, “At BMW Motorrad, we have been crafting not only masterpieces of engineering, but experiences that are above and beyond the ordinary. We are thrilled to bring BMW Motorrad to India Bike Week, presenting our fans the very essence of our brand motto ‘Make Life a Ride’. We are overwhelmed with the response from bikers who have travelled from all across India and look forward to seeing them embark on a journey of their life with the ‘Ultimate Riding Machine’.”

Mr Dimitris Raptis, Head of Region Asia, China, Pacific, South Africa, BMW Motorrad said, “BMW Motorrad is one of the world’s most tradition-steeped and successful motorcycle brands. The motorcycle division is firmly anchored in the company’s heritage and continues to make a contribution to its future success. BMW Motorrad has already become the most anticipated and exhilarating brand to enter India. BMW Motorrad participates in leading motorcycling festivals all across the world to celebrate and spread the culture of motorcycling. We are thrilled to be part of India Bike Week 2017 which is a spectacular congregation of passionate riders and motorcycling enthusiasts. We see a tremendous potential in India and are confident of building a success story here as well.”

The new BMW K 1600 B or the ‘Bagger’ is the motorcycle for those who enjoy the journey more than the destination. With extraordinary running smoothness and impressive power development, it makes every ride comfortable no matter how long it is. The bike becomes one with the road in the typical Bagger silhouette: the chopped windscreen and the striking rear ensure an unmistakable appearance. Behind its good looks are a great deal of innovative technology and a high level of comfort.

The new BMW R nine T Racer.

The 1970s era of legendary superbikes comes alive with the new BMW R nineT Racer. Crouched behind the striking half fairing, both hands tight on the low-slung handlebar grips, it gives the unmistakable riding pleasure of a typical but powerful boxer. It promises unrivalled dynamics and sporty flair, the old-school way.

All the reviews and first impressions are encouraging about the nineT.
Let us see what is the final OTR of these two bikes!
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.
