Designs aren't groundbreaking, bit boring and don't look premium either, so what justifies the 2 - 2.5L price tag ? Specs ?

They ought to be fun bikes, though the pricing is really steep for that segment.

It looks like Karol Bagh Modifiers Association has launched a new brand.
What is with the battery sitting on top of the engine head on the FXR?
The last pic has the tail light out of alignment, just like most RE's
Leo Vince lookalike exhausts all around.

Overall rather shoddy build quality as is visible in the pics, single-pot air cooled engines with maybe 18-20 ps power and then they want 2+ lakhs for them, a lost cause I think.

With 14 hp on tap, I am not sure how they can be fun bikes.

Completely agree. Already we have UML selling the modified Chinese bikes in the name of Renegade series and now this.

They don't look as premium as their prices and some mod jobs look better than this. Who are these, are they some run of the mill chinese owned now?

American owned brand,Chinese built and European prices-looks like the pricing team was using(abusing) some illicit substance while finalizing the pricing

This is a new tactic launched by mid-sized Chinese manufacturers (A few larger ones are doing this too, but only with their cheaper products that they cannot sell in advanced countries. So they dump these cheap products in third world countries disguised as American or German).

They simply register a brand, pay the yearly registration fee and let it sit there. They don't even pay taxes in the US on the products they sell in other countries (as required by US law). They simply register a subsidiary in the third world country where they are selling and use the US Shelf company for marketing and branding, making tall claims such as "American heritage".

UM has been doing it quite blatantly. I ripped them apart on Quora. The two villegas brothers that run that company are crooked as hell. While in the US, they :

    1. Made false promises about warranty and sold lemons to customers
    2. Registered multiple companies in the US with minor modifications to their names to avoid liabilities. In case of bankruptcy, they can close the actual dealership and the registration associated with that, and continue maintaining a shelf company for foreign branding. (very sneaky)
    3. Sold only rebadged motorcycles from China (fully made in China) - so they could not claim US heritage while they were here in the US because the FTC would have ripped their butts.
    4. Once their business failed, they quietly closed their shop without anyone knowing. A VAST MAJORITY OF their customers were left hanging with faulty motorcycles and three year warranties, but nobody to fix their motorcycles.
    5. UM closed the US business (registered as UM America LLC) then used this failed distributor business in the US for their future venture (India, etc.). They declared bankruptcy. Now they claim US heritage based on another (shelf/backup) company they created there ("UM International LLC") and say they are manufacturers - both of these statements (a. US-based, b. manufacturer) are lies.

I can go on and on about their crooked activities and tactics they used, but you got the point.

Please be very careful where you put your money.

China makes a lot of things. Their model is to acquire multiple parts (including engine frame and body panels) from multiple different small/ medium/ big suppliers , and then putting them together like Lego blocks. This approach works very well with electronics and other minor things, and keeps costs low. But when it comes to a high value product like and automobile, it SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK.

In the automobile sector Indian companies beat their Chinese counterparts on the quality front, and do it hands down. The R&D is original, if not, at least legally borrowed (never copied or shoddy).

Please avoid these companies that engage in deceptive marketing. If they start with a lie, imagine what else you'll find out while using their products.

Cleveland Cyclewerks is another UM, but even smaller and slicker - they get their engines from CPI and body panels and frame and other stuff from multiple small manufacturers in the Chongqing area.
