Why 1959? It was a year that marked the beginning of a cultural explosion that shaped the world we see today. A year that gave birth to the attitude of living one’s life to the fullest. A year that kick-started the wave of individualism that saw motorcycles become synonymous with personal freedom. Motorcycles like the Triumph Bonneville have defined the styles of 60s icons like Bob Dylan and Steve McQueen. For the new generation of famous motorcycle fans like Tom Cruise and David Beckham as well, Triumph’s Modern Classics continue to encapsulate the same essence of individuality and freedom.

D*face is one of most prolific street artistsof UK and has countless murals and exhibitions all around the globe under his belt. His vibrant pop style and punk aesthetic have become synonymous with the British Street art.

D*Face said: “Riding a custom bike is about standing for what you believe in. It’s about expressing that part of yourself that separates you from the rest of the crowd. Triumph has undoubtedly been a fundamental part of that culture for 59 years and I am delighted to be able to play a part in their story and British motorcycle history.”

Paul Stroud, Chief Commercial Officer at Triumph Motorcycles, adds:“Triumph Motorcycles have always been linked with the era of freedom that exploded in ’59 with the iconic Bonneville T120 and what it represented. First launched in ’58, the original Bonnie changed the face of motorcycling across the world and created a legend. The collaboration with D*Face, a genuine creative trailblazer, celebrates the attitude of individuality we feel lives on today in the culture that surrounds us and of course in every Triumph.”

Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles India, Mr Vimal Sumbly speaking on this occasion commented “We are extremely happy to celebrate the Spirit of 59 theme at Triumph Motorcycles. This is an amazing way to showcase what the modern classic range of motorcycles is all about. The iconic ’59 Triumph Bonneville encapsulated this spirit and passion for life, inspiring legions of riders from movie stars to café racers and a whole motorcycle movement.”
