Soon after the launch of their new Super Splendor, Hero has launched the refreshed Passion Pro and Passion Xpro for 2018. The Passion Pro and Passion XPro are priced at 53,189/- and 54,189/- (Ex-Showroom Delhi) respectively. The sale of both the bikes has commenced across the nation.
The new Passion Pro
The 2018 Passion Pro features a BS IV compliant 110cc Torque-on-Demand (TOD) engine. It produces 9.4 Ps of power at 7500 rpm and 9.0 nm of torque at 5500 rpm. This is roughly a 12% bump over it’s previous generation. It also features Hero’s Idle-Start-Stop-System (i3S) which promises more performance and efficiency.
The bike now features a new muscular fuel tank with a flush type cap and a modern tail lamp. It also gets a digital-analogue meter with a digital fuel gauge and a trip meter. In addition to this, the bike also gets an All Time Headlamp On (AHO) system and a side stand indicator. It’s available in both Drum and Disc variants.
The bike will be available in the following colors -- Sports red - strong and bright, Black monotone- exciting and premium, Force silver metallic – bold and vibrant, Heavy grey metallic - sober and elegant, Frost blue metallic – cool and modern.
The new Passion XPro
The 2018 Passion XPro gets the same engine as the Passion Pro and has the same power and torque figures. Consequently, the performance figures are the same as well. The differentiating factors between both the bikes are largely visual.
The Passion XPro features a new muscular fuel tank with flush type lid, dynamic shrouds and a sporty rear cowl. Also differentiating it from the Passion Pro are the dual-tone mirrors and LED tail lamp. The XPro features a digital-analogue meter with a digital fuel gauge and AHO just like the Pro. This one also gets both Drum and Disc variants.
The color options for the Passion XPro are -- Sports red with black – powerful and warm, Black with sports red – strong and popular, Black with techno blue – vibrant and youthful, Black with heavy grey – elegant and sober, Force silver with black – cool and bright.
Commenting on the new launches, Ashok Bhasin, Head – Sales & Customer Care, Hero MotoCorp said, "Hero MotoCorp is the clear market leader with over 50% market share in the domestic motorcycle market in India, and also leads the 100-110cc segment with over 75% market share. Passion is the second largest selling motorcycle brand in the country, behind Hero's Splendor brand. The Passion 100cc has been currently growing at around 20%. We are confident that the launch of these two new generation Passion 110cc motorcycles will further consolidate our leadership in the domestic motorcycle market.”
