Norton Commando 961
The Commando 961 is built to replicate the old style of cafe racers with all modern components and engineering. All of this achieved while maintaining the classic appearance and style. It draws power from a 961cc, air-cooled engine mated to a five-speed transmission. The fuel injected mill makes 79 bhp of power and 90 Nm of torque. The suspension consists of Ohlins inverted forks up front along with Ohlins twin spring gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. Norton Motorcycles believes highly in the attention to detail and thus all their motorcycles are made by hand. That may be the reason for the high price of the Commando 961.

It is going to be available in the following colours.
- Galactic Black with Gold Pinstripe
- Titanium Grey with Black Pinstripe
- Royal Red with Gold Pinstripe
- Manx Silver with Red/Black Pinstripe
- Steel Green with Black Pinstripe
- English White with Black Pinstripe
Norton and Kinetic
Last year, the Kinetic Group and the Norton Motorcycles entered India as a joint venture. Commando 961 is the first product that will enter the country as a result of the collaboration of the two companies. Norton Commando 961 will arrive in India via the CBU (Completely Built Up) route. However, the company has stated that after the set up of the Ahmednagar production facility, the bikes will arrive here via the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route. The new Norton Commando 961 rivals the likes of the Triumph Thruxton, MV Agusta 1090 RR and the BMW R nine T.

Motoroyale brand will handle the sales of Norton Motorcycles in India. They also retail MV Agusta bikes in India.
