Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has launched the 2018 Dio. The scooter also gets a new variant for this model year – Deluxe. The new scooter is now available across all dealerships. The price of the 2018 Honda Dio starts at Rs. 51,292 (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
Honda’s LED treatment made its way to the new Dio as well. The scooter now gets a new LED headlamp and position lamp. Another addition is the 4-in-1 lock with Seat Opener Switch, front hook and retractable rear hook. A new metal muffler protector also differentiates the new scooter from the old one. The Deluxe edition on the other hand gets a fully digital meter (with 3 Step Eco Speed Indicator & service due indicator) and signature gold rims. Customers can also get an optional mobile charging socket to charge their smartphones on the go.
Speaking on the availability of 2018 Dio, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Taking ahead the 15-year legacy of Dio, the 2018 avatar is available in 2 variants. More youthful than ever - with stylish new looks, new digital meter, 3 Step Eco Speed Indicator and Service Due Indicator, new Dio raises the bar even further. Dio is also the largest exported scooter from India and has crossed 5 lac exports milestone. The new world is all yours, when you’re doing it the new way”
The engine remains the same though; the 110cc HET (Honda Eco Technology) unit as before. Dio comes equipped with Combi Brake System (CBS) with Equalizer technology as standard. The unique equalizer in Honda’s advanced Combi Brake System (CBS) distributes braking force between front and rear wheels simultaneously, resulting in reduced braking distance & improved balance compared to conventional braking.
2018 Honda Dio: Colours
2018 Dio is now available in 9 attractive colours & 2 variants- Standard & Deluxe. The standard trim is offered in Vibrant Orange / Pearl Sports Yellow / Sports Red / Candy Jazzy Blue / Matte Axis Grey Metallic. The deluxe variant is available in Dazzle Yellow Metallic / Matte Marshal Green Metallic / Pearl Igneous Black / Matte Axis Grey Metallic.
