There’s a common saying in the motorcycling community that when you are involved in a crash, your confidence takes a major hit in addition to the injuries. An example is Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla.
In the Tesla shareholder meeting held on Tuesday, he revealed that he almost died while riding a motorcycle when he was 17. This information came out when someone in the audience complimented Musk on the leather jacket he was wearing at that time. He was asked that if Tesla would come up with motorcycles in the future or not.
Elon Musk rode dirtbikes till the age of 8 and then had a streetbike till he was seventeen. And that’s when the unfortunate incident happened. He almost got killed by a truck and thereafter, he stopped riding.
It would have been a delight to see Tesla coming up with EV motorcycles. They are working hard towards making driving safer by integrating their cars with autonomous technology. We would have loved to witness the same technology dripping down to motorcycles, but sadly we won’t be receiving that from them. Such a shame that Elon Musk was a part of that accident. Otherwise, we would have had a motorcyclist ruling the world of autonomous vehicles and EVs.
