  • Last year's concept Moto Guzzi V85 TT set to make it to production

Last year at EICMA, Moto Guzzi unveiled its ADV concept named V85 TT. The same concept is making it into production now as Moto Guzzi took the covers off the production version of the same motorcycle, last weekend. The unveiling was held at Moto Guzzi’s historic factory and museum in Mandello Del Lario. The V85 TT has a very radical design and is designed by Marco Lambri, Manager of the Piaggio Group Styling Center.

In Italian, TT means Tutto Terreno” (all-terrain) and Moto Guzzi being an Italian brand, does justice to the TT nomenclature with the V85 TT. It’s a dual-sport enduro motorcycle, which won’t feel out of place during your daily commutes as well. It’s powered by an air-cooled 850cc 90° V-twin mounted in the identical Moto Guzzi style. This V-twin churns out 81 ps of power. Other notable features of this ADV include LED DRLs and a fully digital instrument cluster.

The V85 TT can be termed as a retro ADV motorcycle. The V85 TT will suit the riders who have a knack for old school styling, who are into a raw off-road ride and want contemporary safety features. It also pays tribute to the riders who rode Moto Guzzies in the rallies during mid to late 80’s.

We are expecting to see the V85 TT in the showrooms as early as next year. Once launched, it might bring some trouble to the Honda Africa Twin because of the fact that both of these motorcycles are V-twin, make almost the same amount of power (Africa Twin makes a bit more) and are particularly focused towards off-roading.
