2019 BMW S1000RR TEASER
The teaser here only shows a race-track and one can also hear the sound of an accelerating motorcycle. And then, dramatically, a quick flash goes past the scene. Not much given away but ‘the flash’ does remind one of BMW S1000RR’s commercial from 2010 that featured the ‘tablecloth trick’.
The 2019 BMW S1000RR is like a total departure from the current motorcycle visually. To the dismay of a lot of people, the asymmetrical headlight is gone. The sub-frame also seems different. The ‘gill inspired’ fairing remains. A welcome change though is the design of the exhaust which is much more compact this time around. Even after the departure of the famed asymmetrical headlights, the motorcycle looks pretty good to us in a way which we can describe as polished and matured. Although, the real judgment would have to wait for the actual revelation of the bike.

There’s not much revealed about the changes on the mechanical end. What we are quite sure of is the power figure which should be north of 210 Bhp. A revolutionary addition will be the inclusion of a counter-rotating crankshaft which is cutting edge race-derived tech. It helps to negate the gyroscopic forces produced by the front wheel and make the bike for flick-able and agile just like we have seen in the case of the Ducati Panigale V4.
We stated that the official debut of the bike might be a month away as we are hopeful that the 2019 BM S1000RR will make an appearance at EICMA in November. Till then, we expect quite a few teasers of the bike to drop.
