Default The sound of the Aston Martin Valkyrie is the stuff of dreams

We at xBhp are all about motorcycles. But every once in a while, comes along a car which simply shatters the boundary of two-wheeled and 4-wheeled machines. It supersedes all the superlative degrees of all the adjectives in the world. It asks for, no, it commands the attention and respect of even the most hardcore two-wheeler enthusiasts. The car in question here is- Aston Martin Valkyrie.

It was born as the prototype called AM – RB 001 and it will be officially known as the Aston Martin Valkyrie. The is one supercar, no, hypercar that simply blows your mind away whether it is the design, engineering performance or even SOUND that it brings with it. Only 150 units are ever going to be produced, each retailing for $3.2 million and they are all already booked.

Now what’s so special about the car? Firstly, the design. It is off the shelves. It is of Space-Age. It does not even belong here. It is one of the most unconventional car designs we have ever laid our eyes on. To some it may seem ugly, to us it’s beautiful but what really matters is that it is all functional. The open underfloor and extreme aerodynamics are all meant for downforce. A whole lot of it. And then the bodywork, all carbon-fiber. Not one single piece of steel.

Now, the performance. The engine is derived from Cosworth’s 2.4- V8 Formula 1 engine. The actual unit is a 6.5L V12 which is naturally aspirated. This engine will supposedly make around 1130 Bhp! And if that is not crazy enough, that is without accounting for the electric motor that will also supply power to the Aston Martin Valkyrie alongside the insane V12! We have also heard that the engine will have a redline at around 11,000 rpm which if true, will make the Aston Martin Valkyrie the highest revving production car ever and will serve as a reminder that this car will offer the performance close to an F1 car without being confined to the track.

Coming to the sound… we are floored and probably you would be too once you hear this. Andy Palmer, CEO, Aston Martin shared a 20-second clip on twitter which gives you something to drool over- the sound of the Aston Martin Valkyrie. The sound plays over a rendering clip of the Valkyrie and from what we can discern, it is probably from the car being tested on the dyno. Earphones ready? Here it is:
