Default 7 new bikes launched in India by Kinetic Motoroyale

Kinetic Motoroyale has launched 7 new motorcycle models from the various manufacturers that they have a tie-up with. We have been listening to a lot of chatter regarding these launches and we have been expecting motorcycles from brands like FB Mondial and SWM. Instead we have 7 new models from various brands that function under the Motoroyale brand. The models launched vary from 300cc segment to 1000cc segment.

The brands that currently function under Motoroyale are, MV Agusta, Norton, SWM, FB mondial and Hyosung. Hyosung was earlier a part of the DSK group and… Anyway, Motoroyale will start the retail of these models in 6 metro cities in India during Phase 1.

These brands will now be available through Motoroyale, which is part of the legendary Kinetic group, a name that has resonated among Indians for the last four decades, having launched iconic products like the ‘Luna’ and ‘Kinetic Honda’. With this Motoroyale becomes India’s first multi-brand superbike manufacturer.

Ajinkya Firodia, Managing Director, Motoroyale said, “A two wheeler is an extension of you, it defines you, and all of us are unique with different tastes, then why should our motorcycle be the same? Hence taking my legacy forward, I envisaged giving motorcycling its real due by not restricting it as a commuter but as a passion. The result of which was Motoroyale, India’s only multi-brand superbike company that offers a range of products starting from 250 cc to 1000 cc, covering different categories and genres like cruisers, tourers, supersports, adventure tourers and nakeds. Motoroyale is the heaven of motorcycles which is a one-stop shop for one and all where they will get exotic and never seen motorcycles all under one roof. Each tie-up offers both customers, dealers and the market a unique proposition to cater to the requirements and choices of all superbikers”

The models launched are as follows:

MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR at INR 18.99 Lakh

Norton Commando 961 Sport MKII at INR 20.99 Lakh

Norton Dominator at INR 23.70 Lakh

SWM Superdual T Base at INR 6.80 Lakh & SWM Superdual T at INR 7.30 Lakh

FB Mondial Hipster 300 at INR 3.37 Lakh

Hyosung GT 250 RC at INR 3.39 Lakh

Hyosung Aquila 650 Pro at INR 5.55 Lakh

The MV Agusta Brutale RR 800
is a naked roadster from Italy. It is gorgeous of course, like most of the MV Agusta motorcycles out there. It is powered by a 798cc, 3-cylinder engine that makes around 140 Bhp of power and 87 Nm of torque. With the 3-cylinder engine and Italian roots, one can expect this motorcycle to sound like a million bucks, and with figures like that and a weight of 175 Kg, it goes like that too. It is equipped with eight-level traction control, 9 Channel ABS with RLM (rear-wheel lift-up mitigation) by Bosch, brakes by Brembo and a slipper clutch with hydraulic actuation in addition to the Ride-by-wire system.

The Norton Commando 961 and Norton Dominator are powered by a 961cc push-rod, parallel-twin cylinder engine that kicks around 80 ponies and makes 90 Nm of torque. Both the bikes are equipped with Ohlins upside down forks at front and Ohlins twin shocks with remote reservoirs at the rear for handling the suspension duties. In the braking department, they get four-piston Brembo brakes at front and two-piston Brembo brakes at the rear. The two Nortons are primed to offer some stiff competition to likes of Triumph Thruxton, BMW R NineT etc.

SWM Superdual T is powered by a 600 cc single-cylinder, liquid cooled engine that produces around 54 bhp of power and 53.5 Nm torque. It tips the scale at 169 kg. The motorcycle is also equipped with Brembo brakes both at front and the rear with switchable ABS for some off-road fun. Now the Base model comes with 19" front wheel and 17" rear for mostly road-riding and occasional off-roading. The other variant, also known as Superdual T also comes with 19" front wheel and 17" and some additional accessories. With the Suzuki V-Strom 650 launched recently, these motorcycles already have some competition to look forward to and but the pricing might just work in the favor of SWM.

The FB Mondial Hipster gets a 250 cc, single-cylinder engine that develops around 24 bhp and 22 Nm of peak torque. It gets a disc brake at the front and is equipped with ABS from Bosch.
The Hipster 300 from the Italian Marquee FB Mondial is a naked street-fighter with a classic design. The design theme of the motorcycle make it feel like it can easily pass off as a cafe-racer too. With a 249cc engine and around 24 Bhp on tap, this motorcycle might offer some competition to the Duke 250, but the price can very well be a deterrent.

Hyosung GT 250 RC is powered by a 249 cc, twin-cylinder engine that produces 28 bhp and 22.07 Nm of peak torque which is mated to a five speed gearbox. Although, it is very very hard to justify this motorcycle at this price and those figures, but the presence of the motorcycle might just help it find some buyers. Most of the things remain the same as before mechanically. It gets ABS now so that will be a plus. Visually too the bike remains the same except some livery changes and such.

Hyosung 650 Aquila Pro has a 647 cc, twin-cylinder engine that produces around 72 bhp of power and 62 Nm of torque. It is belt-driven and the power is transmitted to the rear-wheel via a five-speed gearbox. It is equipped with upside-down telescopic front suspension at front and hydraulic double shocks at the rear. This cruiser from Korea does not seem to have a lot of competition in the market. There is one we can think of and that is the Kawasaki Vulcan and the price of the Vulcan is comparable as well.
