This custom motorcycle is based on the 1200cc, 76 Bhp, parallel-twin Triumph Bobber black. It is loaded with all the Triumph accessories one can imagine. But then how does it produce so much more power? The answer is, a supercharger. It took a lot of work by TTS to make the Rotrex supercharger fit into the Bobber chassis. But the result is a Bobber that now delivers 135 Bhp of peak power and a whopping 122 Nm of torque!

The custom satin black paintjob is by 8 Ball, the downpipes are wrapped, there are whitewall Avon Cobra tyres, a host of bespoke fabricated parts, a fully adjustable Fox shock and equipment borrowed from other bikes, including Triumph Speedmaster beach bars and a Triumph Thruxton exhaust and screen. Fit and finish puts the standard machine in the shade.
Martin Rees, Managing Director, Triumph Glasgow said, “The Bobber lends itself to modifications, but we wanted to do something really crazy. We discussed putting a turbo or nitrous on it, but we wanted reliability so landed with this. The motor is stock.”
With that much power in a bike that wasn’t designed for this much power in the first place, it should behave like an untamed beast. But it doesn’t according to the report. Low-speed handling is impeccable and the fuelling is so precise that it can put of a lot of motorcycles in the market to shame. But try to be rowdy with it or try to wring its ears, and you will be bitten. The exhaust note is gruelling and the acceleration is very non-Bobber. But the power delivery is linear. And the best part, the hissing of the supercharger when one goes off the throttle.
The standard chassis, gearbox, clutch and twin brake set-up all cope with the extra power while the Fox shock gives the Bobber a tougher, more composed feel. Bespoke exhausts are designed to cope with the extra gas flow and look cool with the wrapped pipes. This might be a Bobber with a sky-high price, but it’s loaded with serious attitude and the performance to match.
