French motorcycle designer Ludovic Lazareth introduced the Lazareth LM 847 at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2016. It is a four-wheeled leaning motorcycle which is powered by a 4.7L Maserati V8 Engine that puts out 470 Bhp of power and 490 Nm of torque! And it wasn’t just a showpiece either. It works. You can take a look at the video below to see for yourself.
And now, Mr. Ludovic Lazareth feels that the LM 847 is not as nuts as it should be. He feels it must fly and so fly it should. He is working on a flying version of the LM 847 with jet turbines in the wheels. So now we may have on our hands a Maserati Quattroporte engine powered quad-wheeled motorcycle that can fly as well. And it is christened “La Moto Volante” which means the Flying Motorcycle. The name is much simpler than the concept we reckon.

Now, the question is, how does it fly? Please take a look at the video below first which is a teaser for the La Moto Volante.
The teaser does not show the motorcycle flying, but we are sure that Mr. Lazareth is going to address the fact the teaser for it has no Volante. But we do get a vague idea on how the LM 847 is going to achieve liftoff. It seems that the bike’s wheels rotate outwards and pivot to make them horizontal. Then, the turbines in each of the wheels fire directly downward to elevate the motorcycle. Much like the Harrier Jump Jet or a manned drone.
Well we wish Mr. Lazareth good luck in his endeavors and wait for January 31st, the date set for the motorcycle’s release. But don’t get your hopes up as a Maserati engine and four jet turbines, it might weight a ton and cost the same as well.
