  • The King of Custom Motorcycles, Arlen Ness passes (1939-2019)

We recently got to know about the passing away of Arlen Ness, often referred to as The King of Custom Motorcycles through The Arlen Ness Motorcycles page. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at his home. He was born on 12th of July 1939 and lived his life to the fullest and it was full of creativity and inspiration.

Arlen Ness had a fruitful relationship with Victory Motorcycles in addition to the Arlen Ness Motorcycles in Dublin, Calif which dates back to the 1970s. He also received the Sturgis Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016.

His description of the sport goes like this: “Motorcycling has been a great ride. My whole life since I’ve been motorcycling has been wonderful. I’ve met so many nice people. Friends all over the world. We can go almost anyplace and stay with friends. It’s been great.”

There will be a memorial service and celebration of life at a later date. Ness is survived by Beverly, his wife of 59 years, along with his children and grandchildren. Ness’s son Cory and grandson Zach are also noted custom motorcycle builders.
