  • Triumph Daytona 765 announced! Will be limited to just 765 units

The prayers have been heard. A new Daytona is coming. Triumph, via their social media handles, has announced that a new Triumph Daytona 765 is coming.

The post goes like this: "There's a new Daytona. It's the highest spec ever, and it's the closest you can get to a genuine Moto2 factory ride for the road. With only 765 available, contact a Triumph dealership today and place your deposit to secure yours."

We also reported the spy shots of the Daytona 765 a while back with the details and the possible specifications of the motorcycle. You can read all about that here.

It will definitely not be cheap, and with such exclusivity I doubt many will have the courage to ask its price tag.

But the bigger questions are, how big-spec is it actually? It should be genuinely faster than Street Triple 765, that's for sure.
Even in the 675 twins, the Daytona made more power and was slightly lighter-weight despite the fairing.

And since they mentioned "for the road", thank God there's possibility of a high-production version later on...

If by any chance its a Euro 6, I do hope the weight and performance are not much compromised. This move will stabilise its production for later though.

This has gotta be one hooligan of a machine, if it lands in the right hands. Totally drool-worthy!
But making it limited to only 765 pieces is a bummer.
