    Default MotoSoul: Bringing together TVS Apache owners across the globe

    TVS has revealed that they are coming up with its flagship initiative, MotoSoul, in order to create an international platform for the Apache series of motorcycles. To be held in Vagator, Goa on the 18th and 19th of October, the initiative aims to bring Apache owners from across the globe together.     MotoSoul is TVS' flagship initiative to create a platform for its global brand – TVS Apache. The brand has over 3.5 million customers across the globe with its customer experience initiatives such as Apache Owners Group, Apache Racing Experience & Apache Pro Performance. The event will be an international platform to engage with customers as well as an opportunity for global performance motorcycle enthusiasts to experience TVS' products, interact with its racers and experts, and be united by their passion for motorcycling.

    MotoSoul is an initiative to establish TVS Apache’s global aspiration and a platform to unify passionate Apache Owners Group communities across all geographies. The audience can take part in multiple racing and adventurous activities, and engage in a series of interactive sessions with national, international racing champions, and TVS R&D. These sessions will help riders enhance their riding capabilities and learn more about the nuances involved in developing performance motorcycles.

    MotoSoul 2019 is the first edition of TVS' annual event. They are building a platform for domestic customers as well as performance motorcycle enthusiasts globally. More than 3000 people are expected to join MotoSoul 2019.

    TVS Apache Series

    The TVS Apache series has created a series of experiential initiatives to connect with their customer bases, such as Apache Racing Experience (ARE), Apache Pro Performance (APP) and Apache Owners Group (AOG). Today, AOG is a common platform for customers to share their enthusiasm for motorcycling with rides being conducted in over 35 cities, witnessing the participation of over 3000 customers.

    We also had a conversation with Mr Meghashyam Dighole, Head - (Marketing) Premium Motorcycles, TVS Motor Company, regarding MotoSoul where he told us, “MotoSoul is a flagship event for our global brand called TVS Apache. From this brand, we now have 3.5 million customers across the globe. We have our own customer customization program called the Apache owner group(AOG) which is quite popular amongst our customers and performance enthusiasts. It will be held on an international platform, which will help us reach our customer and take this to motorcycle enthusiasts around the globe which will help us build a customer base around the world. They can interact with our racers and R&D team as well and share with each other the passion for motorcycling. These aspirational riders that we are inviting will be provided with a better platform.”

    Here’s an excerpt from the conversation.

    xBhp: What kind of activities can the attendees expect at MotoSoul?

    Mr Dighole
    :
    MotoSoul is a platform for customer engagement and we are trying to unite the 3000 to 4000 members of the AOG who are registered with us. We want to give them a unifying platform and give them a chance to interact with us directly so that all of these bikers can come under one roof.

    We will have activities related to racing, adventure on dirt tracks, moto streets, and stunt riding competitions. Also, to help the riders gain the firsthand experience of riding on different terrains, our racers and experts on the subject are going to interact with them and impart their knowledge of correct riding techniques and safe riding.

    The event will end with a gala night. So, while the event touches serious racing and competitive motorcycling, it is also about having fun.

    xBhp: There are around 35 chapters of AOG across India. Which state has the highest concentration of members?

    Mr Dighole
    : We are spread evenly across the country. We are equally distributed in the north, south, west, and east. For example, last week we had an AOG ride in Ooty and we received an overwhelming response. There were about 120 riders on their Apaches and it was far from what we had planned. Last month, members of AOG rode to Spiti Valley which was covered by xBhp as well. We also had rides like that in the east, where we rode towards Bhutan.

    xBhp: Are there any plans for organizing an international ride for the members of AOG?

    Mr Dighole:
    Yes, and it is going to happen soon. Once the itinerary is announced, we’ll share the details with you. We want to take these activities and brand building across the country and continents. We have major plans for this and we will share everything with you from time to time.

    xBhp: You told us that you have a huge customer base not only in India but internationally as well. Which are the best-performing countries or areas in terms of sales and participation in AOG rides?

    Mr Dighole:
    We have lots of AOG groups in Latin America which includes countries like Columbia, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil. These countries have been performing well. You can check their social media channels and go through their activities.

    xBhp: TVS has always promoted the Apache series of motorcycles and AOG seems to be focussed more on touring. How do you plan to balance these contrasting images that the brand has built?

    Mr Dighole: Apaches are a dynamic breed. Even in the event, we will be showcasing touring, performance and pro-performance abilities of our motorbikes. If you have been through our Apache racing program, we are also inviting a lot of Apache owners to experience riding on racetracks and teach them the ‘do’s & don’ts’ of it. We are offering everything we have on our plate. But then, the number of racetracks available in India is a challenging aspect. We only have 3 in the country.

    xBhp: We also did an activity called #tRacingTheRoots where we rode to and on the 3 racetracks in India astride 2 Apache RR 310s. Now, is MotoSould going to be a recurring activity or is this a one-off event?

    Mr Dighole:
    This is going to be an annual event and for this year, we have it scheduled for the 18th and 19th of October in Goa. We will gauge the response, which we are quite confident of, and we are going to working on various locations in the coming years and if possible, an international location as well.

    xBhp: We believe that this initiative of yours will attract a lot of riders from all over India and especially, the members of AOG.

    Mr Dighole:
    That's the goal of MotoSoul; bringing passionate customers under the same roof and provide them with an unforgettable experience because our brand is serving a number of customers.
