Design & Specifications
The new FTR series is engineered with the latest technology for reliable performance. Sporting a powerful new liquid-cooled 1203cc V-twin engine with approximately 123 Horsepower & 120 Nm Peak Torque ensures a progressive, predictable power delivery with loads of low-end punch and flexibility. The FTR series is fast, agile and thrilling with a sporty, upright riding position and nimble handling, made for riders who command control on the road.
In addition to the design, the FTR series is built around a trellis frame with a sporty riding position, features an inverted front suspension with radially mounted dual Brembo brakes for exceptional control and stopping power. The fuel tank is strategically located under the seat for a lower centre of gravity and more centralized weight distribution. Similar to the FTR750 race bike, the airbox is positioned directly above the engine to optimize airflow and maximize power. The Bike features a similar rear suspension and swingarm design as the FTR750 to not only provide a race bike look, but also ensure maximum grip with a compliant ride. Newly-developed Dunlop street tyres with flat track-inspired tread, a chain final drive, and ProTaper flat tracker aluminium handlebars complete the race bike look.
The FTR series is equipped with a 4.3-inch customizable Ride Command LCD touch screen with Bluetooth for easy mobile device pairing support which can also be operated with the gloves on. This will help the rider to customize the drivability even while riding the bike. The ride command offers to select Three Ride Modes (Sport, Standard, Rain) with unique throttle response and traction control intervention levels, Lean-angle sensitive stability control, ABS, traction control, and wheelie mitigation control for improved confidence and control.
The FTR series features full LED lighting, including a new headlight that provides an unmistakable face for the platform, a fast-charge USB port to easily charge mobile devices, anti-lock brakes (ABS) and cruise control for a comfortable ride.
Warranty
An inclination towards experiencing adventure brings along with it a sense of responsibility towards maintaining one’s bike and for that Indian Motorcycle offers RSA (Road Side Assistance) & EW (Extended Warranty) for the FTR series. The RSA scheme offers 2 years coverage of the bike and the EW scheme is an extension of 2 years warranty after the standard warranty (for 2 years unlimited Kms) period expires. Both the schemes can be purchased directly through the authorized Indian Motorcycle dealership.
