The motorcycle is made by Honda's Sundiro sub-brand and is highly unlikely to come to the Indian shores. But still, it is too cool-looking a motorcycle to keep from our readers. The Honda CBF 190TR predictably builds upon the neo-retro cafe-racer style of Honda but it also has some... Scrambler-ness to it. The dual-purpose (somewhat) tyres, the bash plate, and the general stance, all signs of Honda looking to capitalize on the popularity of retro-style Scramblers.
The Honda CBF 190 TR is powered by a 184cc air-cooled engine and makes around 16 bhp of power. It is fuel-injected and is equipped with ABS so for the class that the motorcycle sits in, it has most of the essentials. The motorcycle seems a bit ordinary, for the lack of a better word, but the point is, can it be another shift in Honda's design ethos? Honda's naked streetfighters the world over follow the neo-retro theme like the CB1000R, CB650R, and the CB300R. We are pretty sure that a little Scrambler treatment is going to go a long way if pulled off well on any (or all) of the above-mentioned bikes.
The idea may seem outrageous at the moment but not so much when you consider the Honda CBSix50 Concept (shown below). It is exactly what we are talking about... Honda CB650 with a hint of a Scrambler! Another fact that strengthens our belief that something like this may happen for other models as well is that Honda has recently reapplied for trademark rights on the ‘Elsinore’ name that was used on various 1970s scrambler models.

Motorcycles like Ducati's Scrambler ranger and Triumph's Street Scrambler and Scrambler 1200 show that the market is hot for such models. And Honda can utilize this opportunity to thicken the crowd a little more. Perhaps even a CBF 190 TR style motorcycle with an engine from the CB300R? Well, everyone is free to hope and dream...
