    Prologue Stage

    Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team had a successful outing post the Stage 1 of PanAfrica Rally with racers Lorenzo Santolino finishing at P2 and Adrien Metge at P3. Michael Metge, Johnny Aubert, and Abdul Wahid Tanveer finished the stage at P6, P12, and P15 respectively. The 16th edition of the PanAfrica Rally kicked off on September 21st, 2019, in Morocco. The 90-kilometre course went through the dunes of Sahara Desert and concluded at Merzouga.











    Commenting on the performance David Casteu, Team Manager, Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team said, “We are elated to see Lorenzo and Adrien showing immense grit at the beginning of the Rally. Michael navigated really well and did a great job at pulling his skills into action. Johnny Aubert is riding the Sherco TVS RTR 450 for the first time in PanAfrica Rally and I am happy that he integrated perfectly with the team. Tanveer continues to learn and is working hard in the race. We are keenly looking forward to the remaining part of the race and wish the team good luck.”

    Lorenzo Santolino, Racer, Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team said, “I am thrilled to complete the stage in top three. I have been able to leverage my navigation training well in Morocco and my bike is in great shape. I look forward to performing consistently in the next six days as well."

    The next stage of the six-day Rally will begin today/tomorrow and will cover 275 kilometres around Merzouga.

    Stage 1

    The 275-kilometre special stage of the PanAfrica Rally 2019 saw Sherco TVS Rally Factory having a successful outing at the end of Day 2 with Michael leading the race at P1, followed by Lorenzo and Adrien at P2 and P3 respectively. Johnny Aubert has gained a substantial lead in the Rally and is placed at P6. Abdul Wahid Tanveer, unfortunately, suffered an injury during Stage 1 and had to abandon the Rally at the prologue stage.









    Commenting on the performance David Casteu, Team Manager, Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team said, “We are happy to see the Metge brothers taking lead in the Rally. Lorenzo is extremely consistent with his performance and is riding at a perfect pace. Johnny is in the process of understanding the machine with an honourable result. It’s a delight to watch the team retaining pole positions in the Rally.”

    Michael Metge, Racer, Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team said, “After a strong start yesterday I was able to gain momentum in the Rally. Riding through the dunes is tough but I am confident that we will navigate smoothly and continue to perform in this Rally."

    The next stage of the six-day Rally will begin today and will cover 290 kilometres around Merzouga.

    Stage 2

    The 16th Edition of PanAfrica Rally 2019 witnessed 67 racers battling the tough route around Merzouga that had to be neutralised at the first refuelling due to technical reasons. At the end of the stage, Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team’s Lorenzo Santolino stood strong at P2, Adrien Metge at P3, Michael Metge at P4, and Johnny Aubert at P9 in overall rankings.









    Commenting on the performance David Casteu, Team Manager, Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team said, “The riders were prepared to perform for the full stage of the Rally, however, unfortunately, a part of the race was called off due to technical glitches. Lorenzo, Adrien, and Michael are in excellent form and have performed considerably well. The team is strategically moving ahead with each route, and we’re looking forward to the next stage.”

    Lorenzo Santolino, Racer, Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team said, “I had a good race yesterday with a lot of learning through the route. I am extremely humbled by all the love and best wishes that I have been receiving from my fans. It is great to see that the entire team is striving and putting in all their efforts strategically, to continue their successful performance in the upcoming stages and live up to the expectations of all the enthusiasts who are rooting for us. While the last stage was halted midway, we are eagerly looking forward to stage 3 which is the longest in this rally.”

    The next stage of the six-day Rally will begin today and will cover 445 kilometres around Merzouga.

      Stage 3

      The longest Stage of the 16th Edition of PanAfrica Rally 2019 saw mixed performance from the Sherco TVS Rally Factory team. At the end of the Stage 3, Adrien Metge finished at P2 followed by Johnny Aubert in P14. Lorenzo Santolino and Michael Metge had to abandon the Stage due to technical reasons.





      Commenting on the performance David Casteu, Team Manager, Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team said, “The riders witnessed tricky navigation, as the route was long and full of fesh fesh, stones, and desert. Adrien has performed exceptionally well and was able to maneuver through the terrains while Johnny Aubert is consistently getting better on the motorcycle.”

      Adrien Metge, Racer, Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team said, “I am thrilled to finish the stage on a high note. The navigation was the biggest challenge but I was able to maintain my position. I look forward to keeping the momentum going for the next two days."

      The next stage of the six-day Rally will begin today and will cover 280 kilometers around Merzouga.

        The fourth stage of the 16th Edition of PanAfrica Rally 2019 concluded today with Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team rider Johnny Aubert finishing at P5. Aubert is standing at P6 in the overall rankings. Adrien Metge, who finished the previous stage at P2, had to abandon the race due to technical reasons.



        Commenting on the performance David Casteu, Team Manager, Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team said, “It was a tough day for our riders however, Johnny Aubert showed tremendous character to comeback and finish at the fifth position. It was his debut at the PanAfrica Rally 2019 and we are super happy that he made it to the final leg of the race. I wish him all the best for the next stage.”

        Jonny Aubert, Racer, Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team said, “I am very happy with my performance and for being able to come back and finish in top 10. This is my debut Rally with Sherco TVS and has been a great learning experience for me.”

        The final stage of the six-day Rally will begin today and will cover 50 kilometers around Merzouga.
