electricals : need a external power plug on dc system.

hi all
i have a vespa scoot that is in dc connection. i think it is dc cuz the head lights can work even without the engine being started.
ok now to the requirement. i need a connection preferred with a plug n play socket which i can use for various uses like a small led lamp ( night time emergency repairs) or charging my cell phone when on long tours. mostly the power consumption wouldn't be more than 5 watt.
now how can i set this up? do i have to use relays? i am not at all good at electricals. the connection should be taken from the wire that is going to the coil from rectifier? how should i connect it to ground? i know ground points in my scoot.
any kind of help from you guys is really appreciated.

so you want to charge your phone in your scooter why don't you buy something like this from a car shop

then connect it using the switch so when you switch off the ignition the the charging will stop
because if u will connect it in between the coil to rr then the current would be in ac which cannot not be used as a phone charger

Well, I think you asked for Vespa, not Honda hehe

use a simple 2 pin socket. Wire one pin directly with the chassis & wire the other pin through a switch to the ignition wire of your scoot & you're done.

thanks a lot abhijit but would that not create a problem if i only switch on the ignition without starting the engine? don't want to drain the battery soon. the engine wire works once i switch on the ignition. right? . just clarifying the doubt since i don't know anything much about electricals in a vehicle. my scooter has a dc setup.
