    [Photo Feature]: Solo Ride To South India : Pune-Tumkur-Munnar-Kodaikanal-Thekkady-Allepy-Pune

    Another quick ride to south on the long weekend.It happened on the Good Friday weekend.Took Compensatory Off for Monday and i had 4 days to explore the Magnificent South India.
    Though the initial plan i made was to visit Pondicherry,Point calimere, Kanyakumari and back to Pune.But i ended up visiting Munnar,Kodaikanal,Thekkady and Allepy.

    Day 1 - Pune - Tumkur - Kunigal - Kollegal - BR Hills - Chamrajnagar

    I started on thursday night,rode full night and full day.Finally after such tiring ride stopped in Chamrajnagar for nite halt

    Day 2 - Chamrajnagar - Coimbatore - Munnar

    Heavy rains in the second half with no place to stay in Munnar in the night,running along in whole Munnar scouting for accommodation,completely wet.Finally one hotel guy showed some mercy and let me stay in his Stinky hotel office room

    Day 3 - Munnar -Top Station - Kodaikanal - Theni

    Beautiful Munnar,Tea gardens all around.It was awesome experience.Got into one disastrous shortcut route.20 Kms of it took me more than 3 hours to cover.Bike took a lot of beating,specially front tyre.

    Day 4 - Theni - Thekaddy - Kottayam - Allpuzha - Kochi

    Got the flavour of the beauty for which Kerala is known 'Backwaters'.Thank god no rains today,but front tyre developed multiple punctures,bruises and cuts.So rode punctured bike from Kottayam till Kochi.Parcelled the bike in train and got myself into a bus to Banglore.
    Day 4 Teasers - On thier way

    Day 5 - Banglore - Pune

    Return Journey from Banglore to Pune by bus.

          Abnv - Can you remove those pictures when quoting the messages pls? It becomes extremely difficult to read the post especially when reading from mobile.

                        Great going biru now please dont make us wait for months to have those beautiful pics. Munnar is just so awseome no matter how many times you go . How did you manage to take the 4X4 road from Munnar to KOdai (or) is it some other route pic???

                          No body stopped me to go to Top Sation.Infact there is view point on the top for the tourists where entry charge is 10-20 rs.No checkpoint at all.

                          Thanks Phani.Not sure about the road.But i am sure it will be difficult with 4X4.I had very hard time crossing that route.My bike took lot of beating and i got exhausted too

                            You can go to top station, but there is a check post there, and also the road to Kodai is shut by a chain going across. How did you cross that?

                              I didn't found anything like that,at the end of the road i ended up in a village(Some kottakumb,something like that).From there the offroading route started.I inquired with the villagers and they told me i can go by this route and nobody is going to stop me.
