Lovely start! I'm sure you guys had a lot of fun but please keep participation rules stringent. If you say that people minus riding gear won't be allowed, then stick with it because that's the only way which works in India. People don't (want to) realize the importance of safety gear and you should avoid tagging them along irrespective of their stature.

This way, either they'll remember to buy and wear the same to the next event or avoid your group altogether which IMHO is a win-win for both parties.

Correct... Next ride onwards let us keep the rules very strict Captain @Anupam- Along with Helmet, boots, Gloves, Guards should be mandatory(if not Jacket) for participation.

http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/3...th-july15.html but due to bad weather we miss a sight name Hukitola. So we thought lets finish the unfinished business first and visit some other places nearby.

Day 1 - Total no of riders are 10. Few of us started from Bbsr at 4am rest of the guys joined us near Cuttuck.

Hukitola Bay and Hukitola Island are located in Odisha, India, north of the Mahanadi river delta. The island was formed from silt deposits. There is a building on the island, which was constructed by British colonists circa 1867 according to the wish of Captain Harris. to serve as a rice storehouse. It was the godown of the False Point Port. The building has a total plinth area of more than 7,000 square feet with rainwater harvesting system. It was a storm proof go-down. The length and breadth of this structure are 150 and 75 feet respectively. Roof area is 11,250 sq.feet. It consists of 11 large sizes and 9 small sizes chambers. Height of the rooftop from land is 30 feet.
In late 2013, the building began to be renovated by the State Archaeological Department, with the goal of making it into an eco-tourist spot

Yes Divya we do keep rules and regulation quite strict. But as you know in India people shell out the whole amount on purchase of new bike and think about riding gears later. What i have seen over past 2 years. If i shut down a guy who doesnt have a riding gear he/she either joins another group which have no safety regulation, or they end up creating a group of there own with no knowledge of how to ride in group. On the other hand if we allow the rider whit basic gears such as helmet and boots which all of us have, and give him/her a time limit of 2 road trip. After that they had to purchase riding gear in order to ride with us on next road trip. By this time they have seen how the group rides are done and most of them also realise the importance of riding gears.

                    Cheers

I completely agree with you. If we close ourselves to others, then we are creating a divide of us vs them. Which shouldn't be the case. With an open attitude like what you have employed, you have a much higher chance of positively influencing people.

We had a fabulous dinner. Somehow every time after eating food we come to sense that we could have taken a pic before hand.

                          Day 2
On our way to Chandi Temple.

This small pool is filled up from natural water stream. Due to low water level its running dry for the time being.

It started raining heavy after this as some of the guys were busy wearing rain coat and few of us discussing where to have lunch; we felt a shock from a lighting which we saw like 5-6 km away. Touch-wood, lucky to be still alive
. We hurriedly went inside a Dhaba to take shelter and waited for an hour to rain pass by. It was in no mood to spare us we decided to ride as the rain slowed down a bit. As we were ready to leave, heard another big bang. Dr Deepankar has broken a tube light with his helmet as he forgot the low roof shed of Dhaba . Lucky again no damage done. We paid the Dhaba owner for the tube light and regrouped at Dubri for lunch. After pet pooja, ek gannda sa selfie to banta hai.

On our way to Khushei River Dam and Reservoir.
Lush green beautiful mountain and a 7km long ghat road with lots of twists and turn made our day.

                          Khushei River Dam and Reservoir.
One of the best spot in our whole ride. In the end we saw this beautiful reservoir situated on top of mountain.

So what happened here was, as guys were parking the bike in line for shot. Sankha helmet fell off on the dam wall. As it was pretty steep everyone kept discussing how to bring it back. Sajal Bhai got bored, said hell with you guys and jumped down on steep slope. Brought back the helmet within minutes

                          Madhupur Jagannath Temple.
We went to visit our last spot which was Madhupur Palace. As it was already 6:55 pm, with no electricity inside the ruins & caretaker nowhere to be found. We decide to skip the ruins for the time being. It was drizzling & we have to reach our hotel in Chandikhol by 7:30 to collect our belongings. But before that we need capture the sunset with Jagannath temple.
