In search of new places near Bangalore for a short ride, one of my friend came up with a place called Ganalu Falls.
This was the first time I’m hearing about that place, he didn’t much idea about it either.
Did a google search about it, except for few photos, we didn’t find anything.
So we 4 friends decided to ride to this place on Saturday morning.
Started from Bangalore around 6:00AM, Stopped at Kanakpura for breakfast at around 7:00AM.
After having breakfast, started again to the destination.
Around 8:30AM, we reached our destination after riding through beautiful village road and a bit of off-road.
We parked our bikes and started climbing down to the water falls, it was difficult to walk down as there was no proper path and it was too steep.
The place is definitely incredible and peaceful as there was nobody else there.
We spent some time there and decided to head back to Bangalore.
It was very difficult to climb back as it was too steep and all of us was exhausted because of this.
There is around 2KMs of off-road is involved, it is easy to go by a bike but would be difficult to go by a car.
If you’re planning to go, take some snacks and enough water with you as you won’t find any shops once you enter the village.
Also bring back whatever you take there, don’t leave anything (plastics & water bottle) there.
Please DON’T LITTER as this place is at it’s best without any pollution and plastics right now.
Suggest the same if you’re suggesting this place to your friends for a visit.
Let’s keep this place clean and green.
Best time to visit will be in the monsoon or right after the monsoon as there will be water and the route will be green and scenic.
Route : Bangalore – Kanakpura – Halaguru – Ganalu Falls
Distance : ~100kms one way.
