My Avenger 220 cruise had done 48k kms on my stock MRF Zapper tube tyres. In the process it encountered 3 punctures on the rear and 1 puncture on the front tyre. I decided to replace them with tubeless tyres for ease of maintenance.
A big thanks to fellow x-BHPians Inderjeet (IJS) and Parth (MidnightEvil Parth) fed me with their expert opinions to help me shortlist the best tubeless tyres to perform well both on dry and wet surfaces alike.
But first I had to fit alloys for Avenger 220 (as mine has spokes) and the stock alloys in Street did not appeal to me. So, I took a risk in purchasing PARADO AFTERMARKET ALLOYS from one Mr. Hardeep in Chennai. He can be reached on 9884325948 / 8838049656. (I have no business interests with this person).
I procured Apollo Actizip Series from one Mr. Vinayak (7867087917), a wholesale tyre dealer in Pondicherry.
Actizip F2 for front (90/90 - 17) & Actizip R5 for rear (130/90 - 15)
The urge to ride is close to a point of explosion but I need to wait till travel across country is safe.
COSTS INCURRED (INR):
1. Parado Alloys: 8,000 / set
2. Apollo Actizip Series Tyres: 3,131 / set
3. Courier charges from Chennai to Pondicherry: 120/-
4. Air inflation mouth & Tyre fitting charges: 700/-
TOTAL EXPENSES: INR 11,951/-
My first ever pictures on x-BHP and many more to come
Cheers!!!
