also changing your bike to dc is necessary because hid need dc close to 9 amps while start up.pulsys headunit(up to ug 3 )uses ac .now when u connect hid to battery its get discharged because the battery only gets around 35 w dc(3-4 amps) which is not sufficient to run the hid and charge the battery, also the headlights 60 watts of ac power which is originally dedicated to headlight(stock) is not in use and its lost.now by changing the modification which is done my our own tecnological marvel the king AVIJIT from guahati(also a xbhpiaN)to Use that unused 60 watts and turned to dc from ac to charge the battery ,as it changes to dc by a bridge rectifier its only 35 watt which charges the battery.but its fine to run the hid as its only 35 watts to power it.so in the end its like a double charger setup in simple words.

as for the modification i did its a simple backcover of pulsy and amby seal beam lucus one.currently i am out of station for my job so cannot post pics sorry for that.
Yes, I've posted a dual beam projector and its rare here because of the price barrier. There are shops charging for a halo projector single lens kit is around 4-5K and the quality of the beam spread is needless to say poor. This one I have made some arrangements with some OEM suppliers for a HID Bixenon Projector Lens with angel eyes for any vehicle, a Universal type. Not sure about the price as it depends many factors like duty, local taxes, shipping etc. But it will be very reasonable with any other kits here. For that I am working for now.

For the DC conversion, u've got two chargers at a time!, how did u regulate the AC before the rectifier? Or simply took the light wire from the stock rr and connect the bridge? I've changed the RR with a high cap RR and fed the light coil to the RR direct from the stator coil. Result was amazing with an output of 8A! All requirements are from batt and no worries till date.

If your light coil supplying enough current to batt, why the stock charger connected?

Hey Sajanjosepht,
Bro, what dual beam projector are you referring to and where have you posted it? (sorry if I'm missing something). Hey, how does using the two projectors from the 220's headlamp (i.e. taking them out of the 220's assembly n using them separately) seem? Would that be feasible?

If not, then maybe I could get a couple of used car projectors (from scrap?) and then get someone to create/fabricate a custom housing for them on my bike. Does that sound like a good idea? I particularly liked these pics that I found online. (I think the Pulsar's fairing could be modified a bit to make it somewhat like the last one, but then I am not sure how I could glass in that shape. Could you recommend/suggest something please?)

For angel eyes, I hope you are aware of simple DIY ways to create them at home, in a very inexpensive way. Let me know if you need more info on that one.

Dude, its not nice to say that u missed ur own thread's some postings
This was my post
Help Needed: Fitting a P220 Headlight inside the P180 fairing

My projector kit is a universal type with high and low beam in a single projector. Pull out the glass of the stock sealed beam and fix the lens and fix the glass back to its original condition. So u r retaining the original looks but in an enhanced way. And no doubt in the beam spreads as its from the HID bulb!

I dont know much about P220 lens fixing to the others as it requires frame/bracket fabrication as the fairing is bigger than the others so is the space within the fairing too. And its not having dual projectors, projector is for low beam and ellipsoidal dome is for high beam. I think its a balanced setup as the projectors wont offer a good wide high beam spread like the reflector ones. And what about the cost factors? Light assy alone will costing around 4K without any HID!

Salvaging the lens from junk yard is a very cost effective method but crude too. The final finish will be the main concern and for that u can use the stock fairing too.

U can refer another link from Shreeni

INSTALLED PROJECTORs on MY UNICORN

And for Angel Eyes' I was refering to the CCFL AE's not the cheap imitation with acrylic LED gimmics. Once u see the pics u will convince and admire the quality. Here's another one for u

Sorry man, I didn't actually miss any posts in this thread, I was only wondering where you've mentioned 'dual projectors' explicitly since (maybe coz of my own mindset), I was only thinking of a single projector until sometime ago and somehow thought you meant the same... Guess I should learn to pay more attention

Hmm... Yes, those CCFL AE's in the pics are indeed MUCH better than the cheap LED imitations... and the reason I mentioned the DIY LED ones, is simply coz they are cheap and easy to source . However, from the pics you've posted, I am convinced that the LED ones cannot match the output or the looks of the CCFLs... Thanks for that man.
