    How to get Duplicate RC book? Please suggest.

    Guys,
    My RC book is lost and i need to transfer my bike to Ahmedabad (from Bangalore). The person who will be transferring the bike requires RC copy and insurance copy.

    The problem is I am in US right now (came 2 weeks back) and for next 1 year or so, i may not be coming back to Bangalore.

    Please guide me how to go ahead with the same. Any pointers/RTO agents contact details will be helpful. Currently my bike is with one of my friend's place in bangalore with all the other relevant documents.

      could anyone shed some light on this topic???.........i have a stranded kinetic honda which i cant really ride because of this stupid rc problem(i lost the damn rc!!)
      A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

        Ask your friend to apply for a duplicate RC at the RTO in which it was registered. The process will take a few days, and it's not that difficult. I did this for my KiHo scooter 2 years back, and I don't really remember the charges.

          You might be asked to register a police complaint for the loss of your RC book. At least I had to do this. Post that, you can take the complaint copy and submit a request for new/duplicate RC.
          Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

            Lost RC what to do

            Hi,
            I am not sure if this is the current forum thread, moderators please move the post if it's in the wrong thread.

            So I purchased a bike from some one back in 2011, he handed me his RC and form 29 & 30 signed and filled to transfer. He doesn't live in india anymore now.

            Me being lazy, postponed transfer by few months, and then the worst happen and I lost the RC. I kept using bike in his registration till I figure out what to do.

            2016 now, I've to sell the bike off as I am moving out from here. Now the panic strike, what to do... I can't sell this bike without an RC ...

            What options do I've, please suggest.

                As far as I know a form 29 is only valid for 30 days. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Is it possible to get in touch with previous owner ... because you cannot file a lost report as you are not yet the owner. This is going to be a tight one brother and you might have to grease a lot of palms (I might not support this approach morally)
