Tip of the Day

Look all over

Develop an eye-scan pattern while you ride. Left far to right far to right close to left close with a once in two scans glance at the RVM’s and the instrument panel. For a focused rider, scanning is a patter-break detection system.

    Default Arai Helmets in Chennai

    To the bikers in/from Chennai,
I want to get new head gear and googling around led me to Concord ARAI P Ltd near the Perungudi Toll. Any customer experiences from this place, since I want to invest in a good head gear.

Are you seeking customer experience for Concord ARAI or ARAI helmets as such? To my knowledge, ARAI is a good brand. With Concord ARAI, sorry I don't know, given any day I would like to buy from Pioneer Scooters as they're very reputed dealers for helmets.

Note - Did you hit Perungudi through the below URL Concord Helmets - Contact?

hey, try poineer scooter helmet shop in anna salai. Google to get the address. There are around 3 other good helmet shops around this place.

They have a nice show room displaying all kinda helmets in the first floor.

Which ever helmet you buy, make sure visor is of moulded type. This will have zero air gap when closed. This is important at high speeds.

Arai is crazy expensive if you are talking about the brand. I got mine from Japan for Rs.14,000 four years ago when the Rupee was very strong against the Yen. Today the same helmet is Rs.21,000 in Japan due to fx rates and around USD 450-600 elsewhere, depending on the model.

So India prices would be anybody's guess - a genuine full face version with removable liner should not be less than Rs.25000 at the least unless it is a closeout model.

Concorde used to be tied up with Arai a while back much like the way MPA is tied up with AGV. I believe their partnership ended a while back. The main office\factory is next to my old college in Karapakkam and believe me, its not Arai grade. Looks like a cheap roadside helmet.

I see. 20k _is_ might expensive.

    Acknowledged. Thanks for the info.

By the way, do not go to the Adyar Pioneer store. I thought it was super convenient since its a 5 minute walk from my house, but they barely stock any of the higher end helmets that are there in their GP Road branch.

IMO, talk smooth & then they'll get those items shipped from their HO (save time & money). That's what I do usually when a store has multiple branches in the city. For seeking product information, use Google or XBHP
