You can buy genuine helmets from pioneer... but just know the actual cost of it before buyin it from pioneer.
If you are planning to buy in the price range more than 4k you won't find a better brand(except AGV) in chennai other than pioneer.

      My budget is around 1.5K.
At present I've shortlisted Vega Boolean, Studds Ninja & MPA Flash.
Any idea how's "Helmet Zone" in Kilpauk? Hit it on Googling.
      Regards
      Muks

Congrats. Pls provide detail on price (a range is suffice, if you don't want to be precise) & visor (scratch proof?).

              Thanks ,

The shopkeeper "claimed" the actual price of this helm to be 2900, but said he is selling it to me at a "discounted" price of 2400 (I couldn't bargain much). I dunno if its a el cheapo taiwan make, but it does come with a manual, a bag.. etc,

The sticker on the visor says scratch-proof, but I am not sure about this.

They also stock AGVs, with prices starting around 2.5k, but the designs are rather boring for my tastes.

The visors are available for 500 bucks.

                hi
if you don't want to stretch your budget and want a bang for your money go for Vega boolean. ithink its one of the best helmets youcan own in that budget i use one built quality is good padding is good.
well i don't think studs ninja is good because my friend met with an accident and because of jerk the helmet got opened because it is spring assisted.
                that's why i bought a Vega boolean.

WHOA!!! buddy, helmets are made to break open during accidents. If it doesn't break, then it means, there's something wrong about it. Oh!!! BTW, it doesn't break open on all minor accidents.

I know what you're saying about the AGV boring designs.

I have searched every helmet shop in GP road, Mount road near thousand lights, either they dont have an AGV or they have that pretty boring design of AGV.

Finally i bought a plain white AGV for Rs. 1900 at the shop next to the capri restaurant.

Another thing i noticed is, everyone that carries a AGV in Chennai has the outdated models, almost all of them had a manufacturing year of 2007.

I am still looking for decent gear (gloves, boots & jacket) for myself, guess i have to take a drive to Bangalore!!!

                              Strongly agree!!!
They also do a international shipping for $25, which IMO, is nominal.

@Sidhant - Try getting a few more stuffs along with the helmet if you like & you can save on the shipment.
