Hi all,
m new joinee, pls forgive me if this problem is already attended in other post ![]() i have a pulsar 180 dtsi 2007 September model. after last servicing my bike is not at all performing. some times even if I increase throttle of accelerator (on a suitable gear), bike doesn't speeds up and engine makes a noise (similar sound as if I am trying to run the bike at a speed of 40 on gear 2).. some times bike doesn't at all pick up when i start it from gear 1 and again sound comes if i increase d speed... also when climbing on the bridges, bike becomes slow as if engine is puting too much effort... Also from the date of purchase (sept 2007) I never experienced the mileage greater than 35 km/ltr. I had once tried to speed up d bike at 100 speed ..but as soon as it reached 93, bike stopped (due to heat-up i guess) Is thr a serious prb wid my bike ? Didn't I get the worst performing pulsar 180?? I had purchased the bike from Khivraj motors,Indira Nagar Bangalore. I don't know what cud b d problem pls help |

as abhi said once check the clutch plates with some other good mech like castrol bikezone or other well knows local mechs . If they are bad get new one , if they are in good condition then try with carb tuning.

1. Check the engine oil & grade. 2. Check the clutch. 3. Check carb tuning. Sometimes they put 20W40 oil or 20W50 car engine oil. Both are harmful for your machine. You should put 20W50 bike engine oil for your P180.

As you got this problem immediately after a service, what is suggest is the service guys would have left some thing undone. Check Carburettor settings before you conclude to change your clutch spares.
Be sure about the Engine oil and its grade, they may effect your clutch set up, also check for the clutch lever play. Once I met the same problem with my brothers P150, the service guys even could not trace it, finally another local mechanic found it. The guys forgot to tighten the screw from Carburettor to engine. He just tightened and adjusted the idling screws, the problem was just solved.
