ROUTE: HYD-Moinabad-VIkarabad-Ananthagiri-Kotepally

Me and my friend Ravi planned of vodarevu & suryalanka beach weekend trip [@ chirala & bapatla in AP] but things changed suddenly and we thought of this place just a night before . Started @ 8AM from my home reached Ananthagiri by 9:30 AM , route was really amazing with full greenery along the road.... climate was clooudy and cool with little dizzling. Its really a good place for bikers. Ananthagiri Temple is sourronded by thick forest , went into the woods took some pics it was good place for trekking. Suddenly heard loud noises from the forest followed the sound into the woods, it was shooting of a telugu movie starring charmi. While we were wastching the shooting director saw us and thought us some reporters[i had my DSLR hanging in my neck] told his men something , he came and asked us not to take any pictures. We told we are just tourers came here for ride, then they gave us nnice tea to drink and asked us to njoy the shooting. Then we headed towards a small ghat section again work for my cam.

Then we enquired about any places to be seen from the locals , they suggested us to visit kotepally reservoir. Thought this would be a small lake or some kind of thing and went on to our surprise it was good place with large water body. had some fun with water took some live fishing pics. Good place to hangout in peace with only sound of water gushing out from the reservoir.

Tried out bit of fishing but we damaged the fishing nets , that fisherman was a bit angry but we cooled him down by helping him . Started our journey back saw one peocock tried to shoot it [with cam ] but couldn't chase it in the woods.

It was around 3:30 pm started backwards, again we had saw the film crew had some chit chat with director and left for vikarabad to have some food. Then back to HYD . Really had a fun ride. best time is to visit in July-Aug-September. Guys in HYD should try this place once.

Its great to see the Kotepally lake in full glory. Never thought we would ever see that lake to brim. When we visited last time, it was almost empty (almost two years back).

Ananthagiri is our regular ride spot. It is a lovely place.

^^ With lots of rains around Hyderabad, I am expecting all the dam places around Hyderabad to be beautiful. I am planning to visit Pocharam soon.

I've been there many times and always gives that special silent breeze within.
